That statement was not directed at MM Jo'Co.....it was directed at the spokepersons for the GOP and their TV ads that seek to hype up the anti-Obama rhetoric with lies, deception and little substance. Wouldn't it be great to see Romney squash the anti-Romney hype by releasing 10 years of tax returns? Wouldn't it be great to see him lay bare for all to see that he dutifully paid his full taxes due....with no tax cut shenanigans and with honest hard earned income earned the American way. Boy would that be refreshing and something to respect and you could only imagine the election gains he would make by such a move. So with so much to gain why in hell doesn't he do it?
Hold on there, Dave. Harry Reid just levied charges that Romney has not paid any federal income tax for ten years. He said he a a good source. he repeated the charge again. He offered no substantiation whatsoever. Then he left town for five weeks. Just today, Pelosi backed Reid's charge by saying "if Harry said it it's fact". Now, if he does release the returns and they show he has paid taxes, then both of those useful idiots should be forced to resign for using Congress as a platform to slander someone , right?
Either one of two things.... One...Romney can nail those two idiots by a full release of 10 years of returns and I suspect if he is going to do so he is strategically waiting until the GOP Convention to put an exclamation point on it! It would be a brilliant strategy......one that could maybe should win him the election.. or Two.....he has something to hide and it would be devastating to his campaign if the returns were released. Which is it????
 This is utter nonsense. There is no "release the tax returns" issue. Obama is trying to run out the clock with distractions, because he can't defend his record. No other president ever had this many straight quarters of over 8% unemployment. He has to create distractions so that his media hounds talk about something...anything...other than his performance in office. Romney has already released his last two years of tax returns, which is traditional. Obama hasn't even released his grades from high school or college and he's the first president since Woodrow Wilson to do that. What are we talking bout? - Even former president Bill Clinton called Romney's business record "sterling." - Many other leading Democrats who don't work for the White House have defended Romney's business record and personal conduct as "honest" and "admirable." - Romney is a mormon. He gives 10% of everything he earns to his church, before he even pays his taxes. If he was a greedy crook, couldn't he just give less to his church and keep more for himself? - Remember the "War on Women?" Romney's dog? Stealing some kid's gym shorts in Jr. High? What next? If Romney released ten years of tax returns, Obama would demand twelve. Our chief executive is the worst president of my lifetime and one of the worst ever. He needs to defend his record or clear out. If he can't defend it, he needs to explain to us how the next four years will be different from the last four...
Harry Reid Again Refuses To Release His Taxes… How does a guy who earns around $190K a year accumulate a $10 million fortune? LAS VEGAS — Senate Majority Harry Reid again deflected questions Monday about releasing his tax returns, even as he continued to pound the demand for Mitt Romney to make more of his own public. Instead, Reid pointed to the financial disclosure forms he files as a member of Congress, which provide different information. “I’m a member of Congress now, I don’t make too much money,” said Reid, whose net worth was estimated at $10 million in 2010. “But it’s all listed every year.” Reid spokesman Adam Jentleson told POLITICO last week that the majority leader will not release his tax returns, writing: “He’s not running for president. … He has of course released more than 30 years of detailed [personal finance disclosures]. There is exponentially more information available to the public about Senator Reid’s financial life than there is about Mitt Romney’s.”
....and how many....I would say none......have inherited such an abysmal economy that Obama inherited......since the Great Depression anyway. How can you say one without the other.....and still be taken seriously? On tax return releases....so you think Romney is unable to take advantage of the situation presented by Reid and Pelosi? What an opportunity......why can't he seize it?
If Romney was cheating on or not paying his taxes then Team Obama would be more specific. This is a diversion tactic to get people to momentarily take their focus off the worst president in history.... by far.
What's Romney going to do....stand there on the podium for his nomination speech and crow about how the Dems want him to release his tax returns and by God....he'll show em....there ain't no friggin way.....just because he doesn't have to. I can see the GOP lemmings buying that one.....but no one on the fence is buying it. http://www.thenewstribune.com/2012/08/07/2245095/romney-wins-no-points-for-defiance.html "If Reid is being as cynical and mendacious as Republicans charge, Romney could demolish the majority leader’s credibility – and put the whole issue to rest – with a single phone call instructing his accountant to release the returns. “I have paid taxes every year. A lot of taxes. A lot of taxes,” he said. But he still won’t make that call. He also told Reid to “put up or shut up,” which is comical. Romney is the one holding the tax returns, not Reid. Only the candidate can “put up” – and he steadfastly refuses to do so."
Dave, I heard that you belong to KKK. Somebody who I view as reliable told me this. Isn't it time for you to own up to the rest of us.
No. The IRS has his returns. If he hasn't filed any you just know that by now, Obama's henchment (including Turbo Tax evader Geitner) would be all over Romney. If there's something fishy or illegal, you just know that they'd have been all over it. The fact is, despite laws making tax returns confidential, the Obama campaign knows that there are things in his returns that they can make political capital out of. Unfortunately, they can start picking at the scab until the returns have been produced. We've never seen an actual birth certificate for Obama. We've never seen his college transcript. We have no documentation as to why he has a Conneticut social security number even though he and his family have never lived there. The fact is this shadow who promised the "most transparent" administration has hidden large portions of his life. People who were at college at the same time he was don't remember his being there. Meanwhile high school classmates of Romney remember his giving haircuts. It's almost laughable how the media keeps demanding of Romney and gives the Hider in Chief a complete pass.
I have no doubt that Romney has legit or at least appearing to be legit tax returns. I have doubts...serious doubts until he produces them that he has nothing to hide with regard to his image....or false statements he has possibly made to the media and critics about that image. And I equally believe that should Obama be defeated that he will be arrested as a foreign imposter who fooled the US Justice Department and the CIA into believing he is an American citizen and has a fake birth certificate to prove it...
Gip, this guy is going to try every trick in the book to deflect any attention away from the important issues confronting our nation and for which he has evidenced himself and his administration to be completely unqualified to address.....as the "fiscal cliff approaches making the economic climate ever more clouded, our leadership vacates DC and goes on a 5 week vacation....a complete lack of leadership and it epitomizes his entire first term.....
News Flash! <r>Somebody besides Dave got screwed and BUSH is NOT responsible!<br/> <br/> <URL url="http://dailycaller.com/2012/08/07/emails-geithner-treasury-drove-cutoff-of-non-union-delphi-workers-pensions/"><s></s><LINK_TEXT text="http://dailyca...union-delphi-workers-pensions/</LINK_TEXT><e></e></URL></r>
OK so here's a classmate of Obama that has a theory about his transcript. It's plausible. http://www.rootforamerica.com/webroot/blog/ Of course there's one way to prove his theory wrong......
The Shadow President. He has been everywhere yet no one remembers him. He's the smartest president ever but cannot produce a transcript. He grew up poor but was accepted into some of America's most expensive universities. Based on that totally unsubstantiated background he was elected to two terms in the Illinois state house where he is remembered for missing as many votes as he cast. Then he ran for the US House and lost. He later won a seat in Congress where he served less than one term and voted "Present" on many issues. And on that foundation of uncorroborated life experience, no work record and sub-par performance he was elected President. Holy ****.
The scoop on Geithner: "During the 2008 Presidential election, Geithner was one of three people tipped to be nominated for Treasury Secretary regardless of whether John McCain or Barack Obama won." Sounds like he was an Obama henchman to me.....
Yep, that's pretty much it in a nutshell Krebise....and now, while history will judge he and his economic team as being one of the least effective in our long history, there are still those that want him to continue in the role of chief executive...the role for which he was never remotely qualified and spent his entire first term proving it.....
McCain voted for Geithner's confirmation when nominated by Obama. You cannot extrapolate that Geithner would have been McCain"s choice if he had been elected.
You know John Kerry refused to unseal some records from his past and eventually it came out that, the intellectual Kerry who was touted as much smarter than that legacy who didn't deserve to be admitted to Yale, Bush, had a lower overall GPA than Bush while at Yale. But as far as Obama goes I have a hard time believing that he could cover up attending Occidental, Columbia and Harvard as a foreign student from Indonesia. And while I don't pretend to know anything about admissions to Harvard Law School, I find it hard to buy that he had inferior grades at Columbia. He still had to take the LSAT and while at Harvard he was President of the Harvard Law Review.
