During Senate Floor Debate Democratic Sen. Frank Lautenberg Calls For Boycott of Koch Companies Because He Disagrees With Their Politics…
    [IMG]
The kicker: Several Koch-owned companies reside in the state he represents, New Jersey, meaning he was calling for a boycott of his own constituents.

    Via Powerline:

On the floor of the Senate yesterday, Frank Lautenberg did something that to our knowledge is unprecedented: he called publicly for a boycott of his own constituents. The context was the “DISCLOSE Act,” which would require 501(c)(4) entities to disclose the identities of their donors. The bill is opposed by a coalition that includes the ACLU and the NRA, and likely is unconstitutional, but the Democrats think it is good politics, so they wanted to see it voted down again yesterday. Which it was. [...]

Next, Lautenberg did something that to my knowledge no Senator or Congressman has ever done before: he called, at least implicitly, for a boycott of an American company, simply because its owners disagree with him politically:

Where do these brothers get all this money? It is interesting. These brothers run a giant international conglomerate, one of the largest privately held companies in the world. This secretive corporation has a huge impact on our lives. Koch Industries controls oil, gas, and chemical companies that do business across the globe.

Now, while we may not notice, their products are everywhere. In fact, their products are in many American homes today. For instance, all of these everyday products are sold by Koch Industries. These Dixie cups are cups that kids drink out of, and they are sold by the Koch brothers. Paper plates that often serve birthday cakes are sold by the Koch brothers. Brawny paper towels that we use to clean the floor when our kids spill things are also sold by the Koch brothers.

You probably haven’t heard of INVISTA—it is another company owned by the Koch brothers’ global conglomerate—but they do make things you have heard of, such as STAINMASTER carpet and LYCRA fabric for clothes. We think these goods come in handy, we all buy them, but they are also a source of revenue for the Koch brothers, who fund attack ads that pollute our airwaves.

What point can this recitation of Koch’s products–products which “pollute our airwaves”–have, other than to encourage listeners not to buy them?

No Joke: Obama Admin Partners With Mexican Government To Boost Food Stamp Rolls…
    [IMG]
    Via Daily Caller:

The Mexican government has been working with the United States Department of Agriculture to increase participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), or food stamps.

USDA has an agreement with Mexico to promote American food assistance programs, including food stamps, among Mexican Americans, Mexican nationals and migrant communities in America.

“USDA and the government of Mexico have entered into a partnership to help educate eligible Mexican nationals living in the United States about available nutrition assistance,” the USDA explains in a brief paragraph on their “Reaching Low-Income Hispanics With Nutrition Assistance” web page. “Mexico will help disseminate this information through its embassy and network of approximately 50 consular offices.”

Anyone who disagrees with the government is a racist. The word has lost all meaning......especially coming from the party of slavery, the Trail of Tears, Manzanar, Jim Crow and the Ku Klux Klan. They control 2/3rds of the current government and they controlled all of it with veto-proof majorities for two years, so this strategy is their admission that they have no accomplishments to defend...

...and Global Warming is racist too!

    Craziest HuffPo piece ever?

This is What the Beginning of the End of the Planet Feels Like — Huffington Post

This summer 34,500 people were forced to evacuate their homes in my home state of Colorado. I watched as a dozen wildfires raged through the state with some contained in days or weeks, while others are still not extinguished.

The extremely hot weather, dry climate and dramatically reduced water supply that all led to the wildfires are part of a pattern that has been unfolding for more than a decade. In fact, the past 10 years have been unequivocally the hottest on record in the history of weather record keeping. But even that heat is dwarfed by what we’ve seen this year. According to the the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) the first six months of 2012 have been the hottest January-through-June period on record for the contiguous United States.

The national temperatures averaged “4.5 degrees above the long-term average,” the NOAA said in a statement last week.

None of this is a coincidence. It is the result of a manmade pandemic that could very well destroy the planet. It’s called climate change and it is very real and it is happening right now.

Make no mistake, this is a black issue.

The National Council of Churches Eco-Justice program has found that African Americans are at a higher risk for the short- and long-term effects of global warming. Cities will be hit harder by climate change because of what’s known as the “heat island” effect. Urban areas are covered in surfaces like asphalt and concrete that retain heat and as a result temperatures in these areas are higher, especially during heat waves.

Heat waves have stronger effects on urban populations and especially the urban poor. African Americans are more than twice as likely as whites to live in the inner city and nearly twice as likely as whites to live in poverty.

...more of the same from these guys. Straight out of the "how to" manual for a broad based class warfare attack.....economics, race, gender....classic

Of course we could be spending our time solving problems or we can blame the predecessor, attack our opponent and continue to wage class warfare and redistribute the fruits of somebody else's labors.....
