Fo sure and thank you kind sir, lol.... The growth rate per day is mind blowing, I’m in an area that digs shell for the base of about everything from Tampa down to Marco Island that builds a new house, condo, apartment or whatever and it’s nuts. We have an average of a 135 dump trucks in a five mile range moving fill every minute of the day during day light. There are five shell pits that are crazy busy. We as old fart farmers already realized we are just an ornament on the tree to keep the current taxation going on but at the current growth rate we are just basically storing water for future growth. The newest development Babcock ranch 15 miles south of us will be fully solar and expects 70,000 people when it’s complete. We are already seeing speculators buying and selling property in our area and that’s on top of the soon to be announced extension of I-75 that will cut thru Ft. Myers and go towards Ocala to curb the overload of traffic. I’m sorta hoping we get in the path of this expansion as it could be a windfall... This being said it’s the end of an era and we better get used to seeing Honduras as who feeds us in the near future...
I love the area and if I could talk my wife into it would maybe move there year round. Too many Ohio connections.
KP, Surprisingly, they were closing down some road and intersections because of the dedicated base traffic. I didn't know the area that well, so rather than mess with all that stuff, I just went the other way since I knew my way around there.
Bobda wins week #15 with 53 points. Three tied for second place with 51 points, Treefrog, Stu and JO'Co. Apparently Yahoo does not include the final week in the overall standings? Therefore John Deere is this years winner. Congratulation Michael! Thanks to all of the participants.
It looks like they have a slot for week 15 in the weekly report...maybe they are just late in posting it. I guess they aren't having a bowl pick 'em this year.
I suspect they are just late. In March Madness pool, they did not do final tabulations until the next day. And..thanks Don for all of your hard work in creating and moderating the football pool!
I can not remember exactly what Yahoo did last year, but I am inclined to agree with your prior statement. On a side not I think I misjudged Juan Howard. He seems to be doing a fine job thus far.
I was not excited when Howard was hired as the track record of schools who hired younger former alums who played in the NBA was not good e.g. Mullins at St. John’s and Ewing at Georgetown. But he has a great staff and is doing great so far. On the other side of the coin, read a recent article that Beilein’s players in Cleveland are tuning him out which surprises me since I though his coaching strategies would seamlessly transition to the NBA.
I saw that also and was quite surprised. It appears what may have worked for him at Michigan is not self serving in the pro ranks?
