So the World Champions are paid a fraction of what the "can't make the tournament also-rans" make? Just doesn't seem right.

I watched the entire game and I felt nothing. It was a team full of disrespectful turncoats who hate white men, the flag, our country, and everything I love. I felt nothing...

Before we go trashing the men's team as 'not as good' please do remember that the women's national team got thumped in a scrimmage by our men's U-15 team 5-2. Women's soccer is a fledgling sport in many countries including some of those considered 'rival powers.' There is a lot of media hype fueled by American television and I think it's a good thing. Rising tides and all that... but the women's game is absolutely nothing compared to the men's game. I'd flat bet anyone $100 that there isn't a single men's team in CONCACAF that the women's team could beat. NOT-A-ONE. In fact, they'd probably only have one or two games that were even remotely close.

Big parade today in NYC. Not one complaint about the cost. Just one week ago we had Dem. pols all whining about the cost of a parade celebrating our country on the 4th of July.

Estimated parade cost is north of $2 million based on actual costs of previous NYC parades on the same route. Expected to generate over 30 tons of garbage.

Unfortunately, anything that looks like an American flag, they wont bend over and pick up. Speaking of which, anybody see the hockey coaches video that's going viral?

We've come a long way since Bob Richards was on the Wheaties Box. Meet goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris.

    From yesterday's NYC parade.

But that is only event revenue...which would certainly bolster their argument for increased base salary, etc. But there is a long way to go internationally for generating the World Cup revenue pot that the men's teams are able to split vs. the women. Maybe they can close that gap.

Rapinoe was on CNN condemning Trump for excluding people. But, in her woke world, some exclusions are necessary to build Utopia

It's hard not to get behind equal pay, and I don't blame them for trying to improve their compensation. But the reality is that, as Stu pointed out, the total revenue available to pay them is more than just gate receipts.

Rapinoe is on a roll, and the Media loves her Trump bashing. She's got the mic and she's not going to give it up anytime soon.

I'm always leery of articles in biased publications, both liberal and, in this case, conservative. Here's the rest of the story on Hinkle from Wikipedia. Sounds like her public statements would have made her a divisive force on an all-inclusive team.

Esp in women's sports where lesbianism is much more common, I think it would be very hard to be vocal about your feelings regarding that and gay marriage and get along with your team. So after reading that and another article where she claimed her faith caused her to be left off the team, I'm not really surprised. She made a choice that she couldn't wear a uniform shirt that celebrated Gay Pride, I don't feel bad for her, she had a choice and her faith and beliefs were more important to her than being a part of the team. Good for her, but don't whine afterwards that everybody should adopt your position.

She has no idea what she's talking about. But she sure does the attention.

Won't be shocked if somebody starts touting her to run for Congress.
