So do these guys who are opting out... Do they get shown the door off campus?
    They should.

I seriously doubt it, would be a bad look for the program. I'm guessing 100% of them are publicly thanked by their coach for what they've done for the program and wished well. I don't know what those guys do though, I would imagine most of them would be leaving campus and going somewhere to hook up with a trainer to prep for the NFL draft. If they are fearing the virus, has to be the reason for opting out why would they hang around and attempt to work out with the team? That's what happens for most of the players who are going to the NFL in normal years, some stick around and take classes in the spring towards graduation but most of them don't, they hire some workout guru and leave town.

Those that are opting out but staying, likewise are treated with respect and kept on scholarship. I can't even imagine the bad publicity that would happen if any other approach was used. I think that's one of the things the NCAA has mandated that opting out doesn't cost them their scholarship.

I totally get that there could be back-lash, but isn't this a bit hypocritical of the "pay me" crowd?
"I've decided I'm not going to hold up my end of the scholarship agreement, but I still expect you to fork out X thousands of dollars to keep me in school, which by the way isn't really compensation for my talents."
    It kinda makes me sick.

Seeing Twitter rumors that the MAC might not play this fall. That would take out the non conference game with W. Michigan for the Irish.

I read that the same thing Terry.

And you have to wonder with how many baseball games are getting postponed if a football season is feasible?

SEC guys, you happy with the extra 2 games the SEC assigned your team?

No... not sure why we got Florida again when we just played them 2 years ago.
I wanted to go to Knoxville when Tennessee next came on the sched, but not sure I can swing it this season.

Yeah, I'm ok. Missouri and Kentucky. We're already playing Georgia, so with LSU, and Auburn, I guess we could have added Florida but it's ok.

If the season actually takes place going to Texas A&M is a better deal for UF than going to Alabama.

The Aggies won't be easy at home.... but it's not a full crazy stadium either.
Not a full stadium at Bama too but.... it's Saban and Alabama.... most likely a loss.

Gators were afraid that we might get Alabama and Texas A& M. I believe that under the existing schedules we do play those two schools the next two years if we go back to normal.

Well the MAC appears to be done, no football this fall. This leaves the Irish without a non conference opponent.

Maybe a C USA opponent can be scheduled. They are playing and allow their members up to 4 non conference opponents.

I see that the AAC athletes have joined the fray and made demands, including hazard pay.

Big 10 just announced no practice with pads and no full contact. I have seen that the new Big 10 commissioner prefers to cancel the fall and play in the spring.

Football in the spring doesn't cut it for me. On the other hand if that turns out to be the case, I can live with the decision. It would appear life will never be quite the same anymore?:(

Pat Forde is predicting that by next weekend all fall sports will be canceled across the board. Evidently the Pac 12 is close to calling off the season

I'm glad to see that the Colorado State team is backing their coach, CSU had shutdown things amongst allegations that there were players being mistreated. Senior leaders dispute that and have praise for their new coaching staff. In today's environment all it takes is for 1 player to post on social media that he's been mistreated and it all blows up whether he's lying or has an axe to grind. If the staff had been unfairly attacked by a player(s) I'm glad that the team leadership stepped up to set things straight.

If the PAC 12 pulls the plug, suspect the B10 and B12 follow. Would SEC and ACC take a different path?
