Not feeling good about the prospect unless the virus fizzles out. MLB game being postponed is kind of a harbinger. Hope not.

The one thing that gives me some hope is that the European Soccer leagues have somehow navigated their season successfully.

I see that Oklahoma has moved a game with Missouri State to the Labor Day weekend. They wanted to adjust the schedule so they had a bye week between each of their first 3 games to give them some flexibility.

The rumors of the Notre Dame/ACC tie in for this year are continuing to be strong, so I expect that they are true. ACC will attempt a 10+1 season which would allow the Irish to play Navy Labor Day weekend. The thought is that get that first game over with and see what happens.

I see that Miami announced that D'Eriq King, the QB transfer from Houston that Kes and I saw play last Sept vs Wash State at NRG Stadium, the starter. He played HS football (was terrific) in the Houston area and his backup for his whole career was the Gators QB, Kyle Trask. How odd is that.

Trask was not a first string QB since the 8th grade I believe. In high school he decided not to transfer even though though he was not a good fit for the offense they were running.

Right now I am very glad that we took a chance on him and feel very good for him and the Gators if we have a season this year.

Beating Don to the punch here.... Ohio State has capped the attendance at home games to 20% of capacity, with everybody being required to wear masks and there will be no tailgating allowed. I do wonder about that item though. In my only visit to Columbus, back in 2005, we parked way off campus and walked to the Stadium. How will that be controlled?

Texas has been angling for up to 50% of capacity, no mention of tailgating in the Texas case a lot/most of the tailgating goes on in garages and a designated area south of the stadium. These can be controlled by just not opening the garages or those that are open have personnel to tell you to move on once you park. I suspect there will be some push back by some fans though.

At Notre Dame the bulk of the tailgating goes on in University owned area's, but they still have to have personnel patroling to move people along, again I expect more than a few fans to push the limit.

Masks is a deal breaker for me.
No way I'm going to sit in 100 degrees with a mask on...

In addition, with the 20,000 limit in the stadium, only half of the the season applicants, who have already purchased tickets, will be filled. Maybe share the games by limiting the number of game to attend? Only the strong of heart need to apply for the job!:)

ACC has dropped it plan for the season 10 conference games +1 non conference games. Notre Dame full conference member for 2020 and Notre Dames NBC TV revenue will be put in the ACC pot to be shared by all 15 teams.

I don't know who will be the ND non-conference opponent. The ones left after USC and Stanford pulled out were W. Michigan, Navy and Arkansas. Navy was scheduled for Anapolis and would have to agree to come to South Bend, W.Mich and Arkansas were already scheduled to play in South Bend. I am betting that Navy will agree to flip the game to South Bend.

    Here's the schedule.

That's the problem all the colleges are going to face, how to you keep the players from doing the things that young guys want to do for 4 months.

We had a house party take place 5 miles from my house with 700 kids mostly between the ages of 14-19. It took the entire Jackson police force and a large contingent of NJSP four hours to break it up.

George, having the ability to call the police is white privilege! How dare the home owners take issue with those kids destroying the AirBnB rental!

SEC is up next, the Presidents are going to have a teleconference today. B12 Presidents will have one Monday. I expect the SEC will do what the ACC has done, that will preserve the UF/FSU, Clemson/SoCarolina, UGA/Ga.Tech and Louisville/Kentucky games.

Well crap, Rutgers found a way to win the NC. ;)
Now their whole team will be available all season while the rest try to muddle through with partial squads due to random quarantines during the season.
