Interesting story on SI, they claim the ACC was pushed to play this fall by Notre Dame. That the Big 10 Presidents had no idea the push back would be so great, that if they voted today they would vote to play. They felt that the Pac 12 would follow and that the ACC would as well. Pretty much sealing the fate of the season.

So why the ACC third? Because many of the universities within the conference are esteemed educational schools, led by the same academic minds that populate the Big Ten. Particularly Duke, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia Tech and even Florida State (surprisingly, the No. 18 public university nationally) were supposed to be in lockstep with the Big Ten and wield enough power to force the entire ACC into following the Big Ten's lead.

That didn't happen. And if you're looking for another reason to hate Notre Dame, now you have it.

"Notre Dame really wanted to play and was willing to enter into an agreement that could lead to something down the road ... at the very least, more games every year against ACC teams," an insider shared. "They're adamance about playing was the ace-in-the-hole a group, led by Clemson, needed to really push for a season and turn the tide in favor of ignoring the Big Ten.

"I mean, if Notre Dame, with their academic reputation and their national brand, was willing to go forward ... it sort of just sealed the ACC's fate."

By the time they get to court and any appeals the season will be over. They still have their scholarship and there really isn't any guarantee that a player will ever get in a game.

So if they just wanted to make a statement, I guess they did. But if they thought they could actually force them to play the season that was never going to happen.

Well, death and taxes are inevitable but the Ignore button on SB does a nice job of pest control.

Gawd.....This like watching someone commit suicide in slow motion. Obviously, they are trying to walk back their decision to cancel but also trying to save face by not walking all the way back but only three steps back.

For those playing Winter/Spring Football, the Farmers Almanac is predicting a really bad winter for the North!

The Farmers’ Almanac recently released its extended forecast for the 2020-2021 season, which shows this upcoming winter could be brutally cold and snowy for much of the country.

“Based on our time-tested weather formula, the forecast for the upcoming winter looks a lot different from last year, quite divided with some very intense cold snaps and snowfall,” editor Peter Geiger said in a statement.

Winter looks 'cold and snowy' with some 'crazy in-between,' Farmers' Almanac claims

    What a great 4th qtr.
Bama down 1, 4th and 4 and they run a reverse for the 1st down. Key play was a pass to get in fg range... Guy gets out of bounds, 6 secs left and the Bama kicker makes it, into the wind 52 yds for the win.

Is Van Tiffin a Alabama legend kp?
