    RE: Solyndra.

I continue to be amazed at the arrogance of this administration. Why are they investing HALF A BILLION DOLLARS of OUR MONEY to try to direct the market?!?!? If I chose, with MY MONEY, to piss it away in an investment such as that (as very few people obviously were willing to do) then I deserve to lose that money. But to have it RIPPED FROM MY HANDS and handed over in a backroom sweetheart deal in my stead is ridiculous.

I think the American people at large, when spending their own money, are a HELL of a lot smarter than big government when doing the same. Especially as has been demonstrated when there continues to be NO consequences for their irresponsibility.

Doomed. btw - Bush wasn't much better. I am talking about EVERY SINGLE POLITICIAN that insists on spending us into oblivion.

Solyndra and others get these deals, because they turn right around and kick back a portion of the booty to Democratic political campaign funds. That's the whole idea behind ACORN and other thug groups. They campaign 24/7 for the Democratic Party and labor bosses with the working taxpayers picking up the tab. But payback is on the way...

WASHINGTON — The political brawl over Solyndra, the solar array manufacturer that received $528 million in government aid and then went bankrupt, shifted focus Friday to a decision by the Energy Department that allowed another lender to step in to help rescue the company.

That decision in February gave Solyndra a temporary reprieve and a chance to survive, but it also forced the government to waive its privilege as first creditor in the event of a bankruptcy — which then occurred at the end of August.

Complicating the politics of the situation for the Obama administration, the other lender was Argonaut, the investment company backed by George Kaiser, an Oklahoma oil billionaire who is an Obama campaign contributor. Argonaut was already heavily invested in Solyndra, and provided another $69 million in cash in exchange for taking over $75 million that Solyndra was owed by its customers.

The Energy Department’s approval was required for Solyndra to borrow any new funds, because if the loan was consummated, the federal government would have to surrender its status as the most senior lender, in favor of the new lender.

The Depts. of Energy and Education should be dissolved and the buildings razed so there is no reminder of the damage they have done......

So how bad is the Obama Recession?

*My neighbor got a pre-declined credit card in the mail.
    * Exxon-Mobil laid off 25 Congressmen.
    * I saw a Mormon with only one wife.
    * If the bank returns your check marked "Insufficient Funds,” you call them and ask if they meant you or them…
    * Angelina Jolie adopted a child from America.
    * A truckload of Americans was caught sneaking into Mexico.
    * A picture is now only worth 200 words.
    * When Bill and Hillary travel together they now have to share a room.

    45 Czars...
Judicial Watch, the public interest organization that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today released “President Obama’s Czars,” a special report on the President’s appointing of “policy advisors,” many of whom enjoy positions of power and authority in the administration and yet have not been subjected to vetting and confirmation by the U.S. Senate. Judicial Watch’s extensive investigation exhaustively documents these czar appointments and details the control these czars exercise over government operations.

    From the report’s introduction:

“This Judicial Watch Special Report analyzes the proliferation of so-called ‘czars’ in the Obama administration. President Barack Obama has installed personal advisors in czar positions in the White House and has created new czar positions elsewhere in the Executive Branch. As of the date of this report, the number of czars that have been appointed by the President, or by others in his administration, appears to total 45. In addition, there are as many as 18 other unfilled or planned czar positions.

“Many of these ‘czars’ are unconfirmed by the Senate and are largely unaccountable to Congress. Further, their activities are often outside the reach of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), creating a veil of secrecy about their precise role in the administration.”

The new report is available at Judicial Watch’s website

•Czars appointees have seized unprecedented control over major aspects of government policy and programs. In some instances, unconfirmed czars have authority, in seeming violation of the U.S. Constitution, over certain Senate-confirmed officers.
•A number of the czars have been linked to scandals, thefts and kickbacks, flagrant and offensive statements, conflicts of interest, and radical leftist political ideologies and policies.
“Barack Obama’s unconstitutional use of czars to help run his administration is at odds with republican, limited, and accountable government. Obama has simply installed his radical leftist allies in various positions of power while thumbing his nose at Congress and the American people. As we document in this report, too many of these czars have proven to be corrupt or radicals (or sometimes both). No wonder the Obama administration fights tooth and nail to allow these czars to operate in secret. Nevertheless, Judicial Watch managed to develop this comprehensive list of czars as part of efforts to ensure government accountability.”

It's a non-partisan government watchdog. These czars were set up when the lib/Dems had a 2/3 majority in both houses and pretty much allowed Obama to set himself up as a leftist dictator outside of the observation of the Congress...

The next president will have to fumigate everything...
