That's it. Dave, you can't understand anything except that which you care to believe. It is hopeless trying to convince you of ANYTHING! I care just as much if not more than you do. You simply want to throw stones and then proclaim what you hit was your intended target. I would rather determine what the target is before I start casting stones.
I agree Tom that the target needs to be identified. I do think a full fledged investigation at some point will help to do that but BP's track record and some of the facts brought to light already points the finger in their direction until then.
Damn....according to Tom I am a whiner and everyone else is cool with this: http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/07/20/gulf.oil.disaster/index.html?hpt=T2
...and now this: "A confidential survey of workers on the Deepwater Horizon in the weeks before the oil rig exploded showed that many of them were concerned about safety practices and feared reprisals if they reported mistakes or other problems. In the survey, commissioned by the rig’s owner, Transocean, workers said that company plans were not carried out properly and that they “often saw unsafe behaviors on the rig.”
Here's an idea. Let's continue to harass BP legally BEFORE they permanently solve this problem and BEFORE they finish the cleanup. Maybe we can force them into filing Ch. 11 and then NOBODY gets paid! Everybody will be eating out of garbage cans on the gulf coast but we will make our point that BP is very, very bad and so are all the oil companies. Maybe we can even drive up the pump price to $7-8.00. Hooray!
