Yeah I think I could have hand counted your crowd last week. You guys need a on campus stadium. Both Baylor and Houston have built new stadiums and they are both around 50k. Very modern and built so that if expansion is needed they can add seats. But neither program has a history of needing a big stadium like UT or A&M. So why build one.
Last week I felt bad for the players it was so empty. But as mentioned many times before the cost of land is so prohibitive it looks as if in my lifetime we will see no changes. Only hope is to build a stadium on a barge and play on the water or maybe the Kardashians will pony up the funds if we promise to name it after them. 8)
Barring a miracle, down goes Ole Miss. LSU just mauled them on both lines, they couldn't throw the ball but their power running game was all they needed. Ugly but beautiful at the same time.
Bwahahaha! Freeze joins the bonehead club by letting Bo chuck one at the end. Speaking of, bet Bo feels great about taunting the crowd. I hate LSU, but for once I was glad they won. Sick those preppy wanna-be's.
Alabama wins but kind of like hanging on. I think the coaching staff is overthinking everything. Just play the game. We were trying not to lose. I hate it. We have a lot of talent but we play like we are the underdog and it opens up the game to the other team. By the way the UT qb, Dobbs is a good one. 2 years from now Tennessee is going be on top of the SEC East. :?
Somethings you can't make up...why a UM player would do this, BEFORE THE GAME, is beyond me. http://www.freep.com/story/sports/college/michigan-state/spartans/2014/10/25/michigan-state-michigan-stake/17935707/
I felt pretty confident going into this game. Great game and I thought we had lost when the Nits scored that first TD in OT. Stats pretty equal except for time of possession. Hackenberg really had a good game. J.T. not quite as impressive in this one, but managed to come through in overtime. The two turnovers by both squads turned out to be the equalizer.
  Down goes Troy! Utah is the surprise of the 12Pac. The Utes are 6-1 with wins over USC, UCLA, Michigan, and Oregon State. Their next two games will determine their Cinderella season: Oregon and Arizona State. Arizona is the other surprise out here... UCLA is by far the biggest disappointment.
In my defense, that was directed at a very small group of Tennessee fans who had it coming. I felt bad because most of the UT fans I am friends with are really good people and great fans. Ole Miss: They got their ass kicked. Where is the ESPN hyperbole machine now? I don't want to hear about their all-everything-best-in-America defense. LSU can't throw the ball. LSU turned it over FOUR TIMES. LSU still ran the ball right down their throat all night long. LSU's defense just mauled that Ole Miss OL. Teams lose and **** happens, but I'm not sure Ole Miss will be in the discussion of once beaten teams at the end of the road. If they couldn't handle LSU's front 7, how are they going to handle Miss State's? Better question, if they couldn't handle LSU's OL, how are they going to handle Miss State's?
The morning after our win over Penn State, things are still cloudy for Ohio State. Hamilton caught everything Hackenberg threw to him. an amazing receiver. The Nittany Lions do have a solid defensive group, just no rushing game. I am not nearly as confident now for the upcoming game in East Lansing in a couple of weeks. Both Elliot and Barrett have to be sore this morning, we were held to under 300 yards in offense. Joey Bosa just never quits. That game ending sack where he took out one defender, knocking him into Hackenberg and it was all over!
Yeah I figured you guys would steam roll the Nit's. They got beat by Michigan last week, and really hadn't beaten a quality foe yet this season. But that's why I'm at the bottom of the pick'em, well I am ahead of kp. Utah. USC didn't really look impressive to me, I didn't watch the whole game so I missed the late heroics but while it's would have been better for the ND SOS as would have a Michigan win...it just didn't feel right rooting for them! Have to give Kyle Whittington his props, that guy consistently puts a good team out there on the field. I can't imagine what he'd do if he could recruit the top talent that USC does annually.
