Not watching the Texas/ISU game of course..1) ND/FSU 2)No LHN ...but I'm following he score. Can't believe we're in a dogfight with the Cyclones. I figured this to be an easy win for Texas.

I don't think I've ever seen a stat line like the Missouri/UF game... Gators held Missouri to 119 yds of total offense, 20 yards passing and lost by 29 points.

Longhorns pulled it out in the end against Iowa State....it's a start. Surprised that our defense gave up as many points as they did and even more surprised that our offense scored as many points as they did.

Buckeyes roll over an outclassed Rutgers team in Columbus 56-17. Four straight games now amassing over 50 points per game and 500 plus yards in offense.

J.T. Barrett continues to impress me with his decision making and distributing the football. Tight ends were used more yesterday than any time I can remember. Offensive line is really coming together.

We scored on our first two possessions and never looked back. Our defense continues to improve each week as well.

Penn State up next in Happy Valley next Saturday night.

Welp, obviously I am pleased after the Alabama game yesterday. Everything worked.

FSU/ND Great game. Robinson is a heck of a receiver. Golson did a good job of making smart plays. A couple of INT's but he pulled it down and ran or threw the ball away when he needed to. When the 2 teams were trading TD's, it became a case of whoever got a stop first was going to win. Kind of like OT.

UGA/Ark It's amazing that UGA has another running back that looks almost as good as Gurley. This one was close for awhile but UGA finally beat them down.

I flipped back and forth watching several other games. Tennessee did okay against Ole Miss was just too much. They stayed in the game for awhile though. OM has a good OL.

The West Va/Baylor game was interesting too. WVU qb looked sharp and Baylor didn't.

Something about this team.....just like Iowa State back in the day...they play us extremely hard.....none of the series has been a runaway yet....last night was the biggest margin of victory yet....except for the Bowl game in 2000.

I had to laugh at the sign I saw...."The city of Lincoln Invades the land of Lincoln".....1/2 that joint was RED last night....I think that's a motivation factor for NWU....they get really offended when they see that.

I guess Coach Kill will be assigned to attend cultural sensitivity classes this week.

Does this mean that the reason for Gurley's success is that he's a "system" running back?

Re: Coach Kill. That's funny.

Re: Kil...that's pretty embarassing. They had to have talked before the game and I doubt that the Purdue HC changed his outfit.

BTW talking about Purdue, they have been playing much better lately..nothing to show for it yet but maybe Hazell is getting the program turned.

A few more reflections on non-ND/FSU games.

    1. Got caught up on the Texas win over ISU. Swoopes has really started to get comfortable at the QB position, clearly his best game...also clearly our defenses worst game. Everybody though was giving a lot of credit to the fat man...Mark Mangino for the ISU offense.

    2. TCU taking down OK.State is huge, they have already beaten OU, now OK State, they played and lost to Baylor. Schedule looks good for them, still have to beat Texas and KState but they are in a good spot. Although so is KState after beating OU in Norman. I think W.Va. exposed some big time Baylor problems and they will lose another game. TCU and KState in the drivers seat for the B12 title.

    3. Arizona State beating Stanford puts them in a very good position in he Pac12. I still think that conference is going to beat each other up and hurt their playoff chances. I do think though that Oregon has a real shot at running the table to the Pac12 Championship game and if they win their then Oregon will most likely get a seat at the table.

    4. Big10...Both MSU and OSU steamrolled opponents this weekend...2 weeks till the biggest game of the year in the B10.

    5. SEC...Georgia doesn't need Todd Gurley, they just plug in a guy and he runs for 200yds. Sony Michael is back next week. Dawgs really only have Auburn in the way to a 1 loss regular season. SEC West..something has got to give.

    Terry,
You're right. Miss State, Ole Miss, Auburn, Alabama, something in the SEC West has got to give.
