Sooners sure wait a long time to get going in some games. Likely to bite them down the road if they keep it up.
9 overtimes! That's just nuts! Big win for the Illini that's for sure. Anybody have them in the contest?
I was listening to an ESPNU show called the blitz on the way home from golf, it keeps up with multiple games. I listened to the whole OT. ILLINOIS after literally running over PSU in regulation, over 300 yds rushing and 38 yds passing, threw the ball in OT. Because I guess they didn't want to what had been working for 60 minutes in regulation.
I sure didn't see that Wake /Army game being a shoot out! 126 points scored, Sam Hartman the Wake QB threw for almost 500 yards Also didn't see a mediocre Navy squad taking Cincinnati to the last second before losing. They got the onside kick and could have forced OT.
Pitt/Clemson actually a good game. Pitt leading at half 14 - 7. Clemson offensive woes continue, although to be fair Pitt is playing solid defense.
The biggest bull call I have ever seen is the unsportsmanlike called on Iowa State wr who took it to the house and did a little high step on the way to the endzone. It's a spot foul and took a TD off the board. Fortunately the kid scored anyway a few plays later.
Wisc is leading Purdue by 2 scores late in the 4th. Graham Mertz has thrown for 52 yards in the game. I don't know how he keeps his job?
I've been switching back and forth between that game and the Pitt / Clemson game. Both are good games
I less undefeated team as Oklahoma State goes down. 4th down stand by the Cyclones to finish them off. Pitt behind a great game by Kenny Pickett and his 5th year seniors on the OL. Clemson 4-3 now. LSU doesn't get the win to show their support for Eddie O, instead Kiffin and Ole Miss run (pass) over them. Wisconsin gets the win over Purdue. I really thought the Boilermakers would win this game. Wisconsin running game was the story along with the defense.
Last week was Purdue's statement win. This week, so far, is Illinois' statement win. Who will it be next week?
Alabama having a bit harder time with Tenn than I thought they would. UCLA /Oregon in a donny brook. Just looked at the A&M score, they are killing South Carolina. Not unexpected.
Alabama is going to win this big but this is not a championship team. A good team but not a great.team.
52 points is pretty damn impressive. Whether Alabama will win the National Championship is yet to be determined of course. But right now I don't see 4 better teams. OU struggled with KU, Cincinnati struggled with Navy. Ohio State and Michigan took care of business, but not against great opponents. 1. Georgia 2. Cincinnati 3 Alabama 4. Ohio State 5. Michigan 6. Oklahoma The only reason I put Cincy at #2 is that they are Cinderella. Alabama would handle them easily as would Ohio State and Michigan
