    Actually, it's a German style sandwich. Marinated ground hamburger, with kraut and onions, baked in a soft bread loaf. But I guess for a 1st timer, it could be misconstrued for a Midwest philly.

    My Mom used to make a small sized version of them... and we gobbled them down like there was no tomorrow.
