13-6 Texas at the half. I'm pleased with how the game has gone. Both defenses are dominating for the most part. Milroe is a great runner and clearly has strong arm, but he's no Bryce Young at least so far.

Quin has played better than I thought and while we only have 13 points it could have been more but the Bama defense stiffened when we got to the red zone.

Tight game just like last year in Austin.

Like him or not, Deon is the same as a coach as he was as a player. If you didn't like him then, you won't like him now, especially after he just kicked your team's butt. I understand not liking a coach. I couldn't stand Jimmy Johnson at Miami. I'm an old school guy, but I like Deon. Like Muhammed Ali did, he backs up his brashness with solid results - so far. Two games don't make a legend. He has a long way to go, but he's off to a good start. I'm guessing that if he eventually falls flat, an awful lot of people will be happy

Beautiful play call by Tommy Rees and perfect execution by Milroe. The kid throws a beautiful deep ball.

Whoa...pick and 1 play drive. 27-16 Texas. Milroe is a great runner, strong runner and has a great arm for the deep ball but right now he's looks pretty raw in terms of the nuances of playing QB and reading the defense and seeing the field.

Gotta give Milroe credit he's not backing down, this game has been on his young shoulders.

This game has flat out gotten wild. From a defense battle to an all out offensive explosion

One of the great Texas wins in a very long time. Great game plan and play calling by Sark. Longhorns are going to jump into the CFP talk now and will jump up in the polls.

Texas did what they had to do to win this one. Alabama's quarterback problem is not solved. Also penalties killed Alabama. They killed us last year too. Very un-Saban like. Exciting game in any case.

Sarkisian does.a.great of scheming a passing attack. Alabama benefited from his time here and he has continued it at Texas. As the game.went on he ripped the Alabama.defense.

Wherever he is, Kes is happy. Cougs slapped down the Badgers tonight. Would love to see either Wazoo or the Beavers win the PAC 12 and go to the playoffs.

After a pretty good night's sleep, a few thoughts. Alabama's defense could not stop Texas when they had to. That was not something I expected. We didn't put pressure on the quarterback and he ripped us. Our offense turned the ball over too many times and both sides of the ball committed a least 10_penalties. However, I've tried to put things into perspective too. We moved the ball well at times. We had a few good defensive stops and our kicking game was solid. We lost by 10 points and we had two touchdowns called back because of penalties. Penalties also allowed the Texas offense to extend drives and they made us pay for it. Alabama and Texas were the the only 2 top 20 match up. Every other top 20 team played unranked opponents. So while this loss hurts there is a glimmer of hope. Alabama quarterback play must improve and we must eliminate the penalties. We'll just have to see.

Texas looked much quicker than Alabama from my perspective and quickness always beats strength.
