In the.LSU/Texas, both defenses seem suspect.

A few more thoughts on week 2.

    1. Man everybody is talking about that "new" LSU offense that Joe Brady brought with him from the Saints. Is it really new? They have 3 easy games till the Gators come to Baton Rouge. I guess we'll see what happens then.

    2. Overlooked is that Purdue win vs Vanderbilt. Purdue QB put up more passing yds on Vandy than did Heisman Candidate Jake Fromm, and they put up more points. Not sure what to make of it but it's a good thing for the Boilermakers after the crash in Reno.

    3. Kedon Slovis the USC qb who set all sorts of records in his debut win over Stanford, if he's the real deal and with only that game we don't know, but if he is and has a great year. I'll bet a dollar to a donut that JT Daniels will be moving on, USC has another 5 star QB coming from the same HS Daniels attended (Mater Dei) who is ranked #2 overall at QB for the 2020 class. Hurts will be graduating this year at OU, so OU could be his next stop!

    4. That late loss by the puppies (as Kes would say) really put a crimp in the Pac12 CFP hopes. I think most thought the 2 best candidates would be Washington and Oregon, both have losses. Utah was mentioned by some but it seems like there is too much parity in the Pac12 for the top teams to avoid 2 losses.

    5. That loss to LSU, hurt, but didn't hurt too much in the rankings. But it does of course pretty much mean the Longhorns have to win out to get to the CFP. The win vaulted LSU over Ohio State who has been impressive in their wins as well.

    6. Wisconsin is looking much better than most thought they would, I think a lot expected the B1G West to be a dogfight with Iowa the winner. Looks like Wisconsin is going to have some say in that.

    7. Hurts having another big game, even if it was vs bad competition..continues to be the big story in the Heisman race. But if Joe Burrows and LSU continue with this offensive production, he'll jump way up there, like Hurts his story is a good one. Tua and Trevor Lawrence aren't exactly chopped liver but they are merely doing what is expected, not exceed expectations like Hurts and Burrow.

Don, what year was it that Navy had Ohio State beat at the Shoe except for some crazy play right at the end when Navy was going in for the kill?

How are some of the new coaches doing so far? Of course it's really too early to be fair....buttttt

Chris Klieman at KState has gotten off to a great start, and travels to Miss State this weekend for a big test.

Neal Brown at West Virginia...well Missouri rolled W.Va last weekend and he didn't exactly crush James Madison.

Ryan Day at Ohio State ...legend in the making!

    Mack Brown at UNC...legend returning?

Scott Satterfield at Louisville ...gave ND fans a scare early and has his team ready to play, this past weekend they handily beat E.Kentucky. So he's looking pretty good right now.

huh...turns out that UNC/Wake Forest does not count as a ACC game in the standings. Both teams already had their 8 conference games scheduled by the ACC , but decided to play anway as a non-conference game.

Yeah everything I've read from the LSU folks was that Texas did them dirty. They stuck their band in the nosebleeds up alongside their fans. The locker room situation was not exactly 'quality.' It's kinda odd seeing LSU bitching about being treated poorly after a big win. Normally, they're too busy trash talking and moving on after a game like that.
