After the uproar from ND fans and some members of the media over the vicous hit on Tori Hunter Jr that was not called in the Texas game...it seemed like there were targeting calls all over the place in college games this weekend.

Ralph, I'm more than a little shocked that Miami would be traveling to App State for a game, is the poor attendance at Miami vs a sold out App State stadium the reason....is Miami a buy game for App State? :)

Utah gives up 6 turnovers (3 interceptions and 3 lost fumbles) yet holds BYU to 19 points (who gave up three interceptions of their own). First play from scrimmage was a pick 6 to put the U up 7-0. After a 3 and out by BYU and the ensuing kickoff, Utah promptly fumbles the ball in their first two possessions, giving up two FGs to cut the lead to 7-6. The offense did everything they could to give the game away, but the D held up strong.
Wazzu picks up two key interceptions on the last two BSU drives to give them a chance late. They take advantage of the first one, pulling within 3. The last INT came in the end zone with 53 seconds left but ALL THREE TIMEOUTS LEFT. From there, it was a comedy of clock mismanagement, which seems to be a hallmark of Leach coached teams. Now 4-1 against BSU and 0-2 on the year.

Wash St was a popular choice for dark horse in the Pac12 North race. Of course that can still happen, clearly Luke Falk is ready to help.

Four teams that look the strongest to me:

    Bama, OSU, Michigan, FSU

Otherwise throw the rest of the Top 25 into a melting pot of who's hot and who's not on any given Saturday.

Unless Louisville and Houston continue to roll.... then either one of those could crash the party plus there is Stanford if they continue to roll.

Will eliminate FSU or Louisville this weekend and of course there looms a major clash in late November between UM and Ohio State.

Well the MAC suspended the crew from the Oklahoma State debacle and the B12 suspended the booth crew as well for not taking the opportunity to inform the MAC crew on the field that they didn't know the rule.

I read on Irish Illustrated that a college offical told one of the MODs that the booth crews are not happy about being given the opportunity to interfere with the refs on the field when a flag isn't thrown. He (anonymously) said that most of the guys he knew were just going to stay mute, they don't like the responsibility.

In our case, that sucks. Apparently, the B12 administrators don't have the stones to make an example of the booth crew. Something may happen in a game between two B12 teams that would bring this to a head. I sure hope so, and I hope it's the same crew.

Gundy said he won't play another non-power 5 conference team without B12 officials. Said if they won't agree to that then they'll find another team. Said that the best officials are in the Power 5 conferences.
