Hey Husker... what do the Huskerboards think/anticipate with Logan Smothers (the QB here from AL)? He was a force to be reckoned with all season. His team only lost in the playoffs because he got hurt. He's one of those guys who is just a winner. I think you guys are gonna like him. Also, well done on putting the mojo on Clemson.

Burrow, Hurts, Fields and Chase Young will make it to New York. Ohio State is the 7th team to have 2 players invited to the Ceremony, but the first to have both an offensive and a defensive player invited. I wonder who the other 6 are, the ESPN article didn't mention that. Said that Chase Young is the 4th Defensive lineman, Warren Sapp, Steve Emtman of Washington and Nebraska's Ndamukong Suh are the other DL's.

OU is the 1st team to have 4 straight QB's invited to the Ceremony. Baker Mayfield was invited twice.

He'll probably do okay in that offense. He isn't quite the runner that their current starter is but he's a better passer. It'll be interesting to see if he wins the job.

Nothing but great things and finger crossing that he's as solid a commit as he says he is. We're snake bit around here lately with decommits at the last second, and theres paranoia he might get cherry picked last second. On paper this kids a stud, and with Martinez falling apart like a $2 suitcase this year, we only have 1 clear contender, and that's Mcaffery. The good news is sounds like both mom and dad loved their trip to lincoln!

Everything I've read is that he's a locked down Husker and that's not going to change. I think you got a good one there.

well, he's a great athlete and passer. He comes from a family of successful football coaches and he's been winning since he was a freshman. I think you've got a good one. The last QB I remember who played locally that I couldn't believe wasn't recruited more nationally was a guy named Phillip Rivers. I think he's still getting a paycheck. Smothers is a much better runner than Rivers just fyi ;)
