Just a couple weeks ago it was seven undefeated teams! I hope this is not a bad omen for my Buckeyes!
 Northern Illinois was exposed big-time tonight. Blown-out by Bowling Green? It looked like NIU's defense quit late in the 4th quarter. BG was scoring at will. Were they really going to put that team in a BCS game?
I will be watching a lot of those games but probably not much of Duke and FSU. While it's a great story Duke getting to the Championship game I don't see them having any chance. Football season going out in style today with all these Championship games.
34 here in Houston...brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Wind Chill is 25............double brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Needless to say there will be no golf today!
Cold day in Austin, the guy who's been at the center of the "inside" information on my Texas website said his sources tell him that Saban signed an extension with Alabama last night. Most members vow to not watch Texas football again if Mack is brought back next year.
Texas has Bobby Bowden syndrome..... good luck with that. What a job Coach Cut has done at Duke..... COY. Excited about SEC and Big 10 title games to be sure. I expect a ton of points in Atlanta... 77 or more ... and no more than 51 in Indy.
I watched quite a bit of the Bowling Green/NIU game last night and Jordan Lynch who has had a great career at NIU looked like a good not great QB, which is what he looked like last year in the Orange Bowl. He showed some flashes of dual threat but for the most part BGSU had his number. I'm glad we won't have to see NIU in a BCS bowl again.
Well it sounds like the insider may have created the rumor, fed the rumor and has now been exposed. Usually, as you are probably aware, Alabama media will jump all over these types of rumors. This rumor has never really gotten much traction. I never say never, but like I have said all along, I would be really, really surprised if he left now, after all of the statements that he and his wife have made in the last month or so. Hell maybe Saban's agent planted the seed to get Saban a raise.
I'm surprised that the Gameday crew never asked Saban about the Texas rumor. I wonder if Nick told them ask 1 question about that and I'll walk off the set.
Terry, I have to agree with kp. I've seen nothing about it except on Skybox, thanks to a certain Texas alum who shall remain unnamed.
Dang another miracle....OU down to their 3rd QB, wins with a gut check drive as time is running out. Ok State did the thing that drives me nuts, go to the prevent defense, give the QB plenty of time, keep everything in front of you defense that seems to me to always prevent you from winning. Now the winner of the Texas/Baylor game will be B12 Champ and the Fiesta Bowl invitee. I bet Texas wins, not because they are great but because I think they will run the ball down Baylors throat and the weather is cold as hell and Bryce Petty won't be able to have his usual game throwing. Rice wins 41-24. Owls first championship season since 1957 when they were SWC Champs, lost to Navy in the Cotton Bowl.
Oklahoma St. goes down in Bedlam, leaving tu vs. Baylor in the B12 CG. So, the automatic BCS bids are now: UCF FSU/Duke winner OSU/MSU winner Auburn/Missouri winner ASU/Stanford winner Baylor/Texas winner There are now four at-large BCS bids available to AQ teams, which are: 1) Alabama 2) If Duke wins ACC CG, FSU 2) If FSU wins ACC CG, Clemson 3/4) If MSU wins B10 CG, OSU, then Oregon and OU will vie for the last slot 3/4) If OSU wins B10 CG, MSU, Oregon and OU will vie for the last two slots And since Rose would likely take MSU, that still leaves Oregon and OU to vie for the last slot. I would guess the Orange would take Oregon, but if they end up taking Bama against Clemson, Sugar would probably take OU.
