I wouldn't be surprised to see Ohio St #2. Probably not and it doesn't really matter, but otherwise looks like Bill has it right. Poor Bearcats are going to be run through the grinder, and will wish they'd been put in a NY6 bowl when it's all said and done. kp... I think that kid has improved for Arky as the year has gone on and they are a pretty decent offense at this point. Not saying you don't WANT to shut down every team you play, but... welcome back to the real world of college football. Finnley is NOT a guy I'd be scared of. I know its' the rivalry game and all, but you guys are just better. Better players and better coaching. The good news is Auburn keeps going to the pass when they have a decent line and Bigsby. I'm mystified why they haven't worn that kid out. He's a difference maker. Keep feeding him the rock and they walk away from SCAR. instead... they keep throwing it and watch their chances circle the drain. I expect they will try that against the Tide as well.
"Poor Bearcats are going to be run through the grinder, and will wish they'd been put in a NY6 bowl when it's all said and done." Cincy played in the Peach Bowl and lost by 3. The team that beat them was Ga.
Scott, that's what I've been saying. Alabama is a good team, not a great team, i.e. "the real world of college football". I don't like it here!
Yes, and the Gators might be a while recovering from the turmoil this year. Don't know who will be the replacement.
One big rumor in Gatorland is that Bob Stoops might come out of retirement. He is only 61 years old. We have been burned by this rumor several times in the past. However I think if it would happen it would give our program an instant boost.
I guess I would question if Stoops has the fire to do what is needed to get the Gators back to one of the top SEC teams.
With the firing of Mullen, this list has grown VERY humorous. (sorry Bill, jabbing the author, and not you) Grading All 20 Hires of the 2017 College Football Coaching Carousel | Sports Illustrated
It's being reported that James Franklin is about to sign a big extension with Penn State. So in addition to Mel Tucker being off the market, Franklin also off the market. That leaves Fickell as the only big name. I do assume that Fickell will not do anything to take away from the Bearcats drive for the CFP.
Hah! 5. 0 being a perfect score Scott Frost was the highest @4.6! Jimbo 2.4! Willie Taggert 4.0 Chip Kelly 4.4 Mario Cristobal 3.0 Dan Mullen 3.8
No problem Scott. Interesting though that Napier seems to be a favorite of many Gator fans. How Jimbo was a 2.4 is beyond comprehension.
Florida coaching search: Bob Stoops, Lane Kiffin, Billy Napier among top candidates to replace Dan Mullen Stoops, Napier and Kiffin. Just curious what some of you think about Kiffin. Has he matured under Saban enough to take on a bit program. Personally at this point I don't think I want him. Either Stoops or Napier would be fine with me.
I do not care for Kiffin. His antics do not play well for me (always going for it on 4th down no matter the cost) and I still remember what a douche he was when bolting from job to job. He'd probably have a heck of an offense at UF.
I think if I was a Gator, I would bet on Kiffin or Napier. Stoops is the big name but I too question his desire to dive back in enthusiastically. Napier is obviously a question mark also, having never been a HC in the bigs. Kiffin, if he gets the right DC, could be the answer but the Administration at Florida had better be prepared for his antics. Of course they love Spurrier.
