In order of teams controlling their own destiny, the following are the teams that would make the playoff (in my mind). Obviously more losses between now and the end are coming. The first four from the list that remain not crossed off at the end of the championship games should end up being the four teams that get the four CFP berths.

    1. Undefeated SEC champ (Bama)
NOPE 2. Undefeated B10 champ (UM) – UM no longer undefeated
NOPE 3. Undefeated ACC champ (Clemson) – Clemson no longer undefeated
NOPE 4. Undefeated P12 champ (uw) – uw no longer undefeated
    5. 1-loss SEC champ (Bama)
    6. 1-loss B10 champ (OSU, UM)
    7. 1-loss ACC champ (Clemson, Louisville)
    8. 1-loss P12 champ (uw)
    9. 1-loss SEC non-champ (Bama)
    10. 1-loss B12 champ (WV)
    NOPE 11. 1-loss B10 non-champ (UM) – UM cannot be non-champ with 1 loss
    12. 1-loss ACC non-champ (Louisville)
    NOPE 13. 1-loss P12 non-champ (uw) – uw cannot be non-champ with 1 loss
NOPE 14. 2-loss SEC champ coming out of the SECW (Auburn)- SECW champ cannot have 2 losses
    15. 2-loss B10 champ (UM, OSU, PSU, Minn, Wisc, NU)
    16. 2-loss P12 champ (uw, WSU, CU, UU)
    17. 2-loss ACC champ (Clemson, WF, VT, UNC) – VT, UNC have >2 losses
    18. 2-loss SEC champ coming out of the SECE (UF)
    19. 2-loss B12 champ (OU, OkSU, WV, BU) – BU has >2 losses
    20. 2-loss SEC non-champ (Bama, A&M) – A&M has >2 losses
    21. 2-loss B10 non-champ (UM, OSU, PSU, Wisc, NU, Minn) – Minn has >2 losses
    22. 2-loss P12 non-champ (uw)
    23. 2-loss ACC non-champ (Clemson, Louisville, WF, VT, UNC) – WF, VT, UNC have >2 losses
    24. 2-loss B12 non-champ (WV, BU) – BU has >2 losses

Weekends like this are this are what make college football so much fun. Of course my team was not a victim of the upsets so it's easy for me to say that, but the chaos is what keeps me in front of the tv all day. 8)

Also the top picker in the contest this past week. I do not think I would enjoy being a member on the CFP right now.

I don't know what's up with that. I usually really suck at this contest. I'm afraid it will be like my golf game. 37 on the front, 47 on the back.

    Great analysis again Kes...

It looks more and more like it's very likely 2 non conf champions will make the CFP. Louisville and Ohio State. Also looks possible, that OU after a horrible start to the season could win out and sneak into the CFP. Other 2 loss team that could sneak in would be Wisc if they win out.

Crazy weekend of football. Alabama seems to be the only team that is assured of a spot in the playoffs!

There is bound to be a lot of disappointed fans when this is all over. I have no idea how nonconference teams will be view by the members of the CFP Selection Committee.

It aint over until its over!

Bet even kp didn't know this! :)

Alabama: It's hard to argue that the Crimson Tide weren't the biggest winners of the early signing period. Duke might have picked up a better player, and Kentucky might have a better duo, but it's Alabama we're talking about. Alabama basketball. Avery Johnson now has the third-best recruiting class in the country, after reeling in the five-star backcourt duo of Collin Sexton (No. 10) and John Petty (No. 25). He beat out Kansas for Sexton and Kentucky for Petty, getting in on the ground floor of Sexton's recruitment before he blew up and then convincing Petty to stay home and play for Alabama. Those two will immediately comprise one of the most dangerous offensive backcourts in the country next season.

Terry, I did see that #2 recruiting class. I just figured it was football, gymnastics or softball!
