Pier 9 Brawl underway between USC and Oregon at the Coliseum. I've lost count of all the cheap shots and penalties. Everybody is targeting everybody else. These kids know each other. They went to the same high schools. A Samoan LB from Mater Dei HS was taking cheap shots at every Trojan he could reach in the first half, until he finally had two roughing/targeting calls ON THE SAME PLAY! The officials asked him to leave before he killed someone. He's only a true freshman, so all those Mater Dei players at USC have three more years to worry about him hunting them down for not attending Oregon...

Three of the Duckies starting eleven on defense were ejected...

Both QBs were repeatedly roughed/targeted at the knees....

I think there's enough Pacific Islanders here on the Left Coast to have our own Inter-Island Civil War now...

Utah and Oregon on a collision course now. Last 3 games for the Utes are against teams with losing records. Oregon also will be favored in their remaining games. I can see the Ducks at #6 in the 1st CFP poll and with LSU /Alabama game and OSU/PSU games upcoming they could sneak into the #4 slot if they win out

Willingham has done a great job at Utah. Cannot be easy to recruit there but he is able to find and develop talent and the Utes look to be the most physical team in the PAC 12.

The Ore/USC game offered a cornucopia of dirty football. The trash talking was off the charts and it seemed like both teams would have been happy to quit playing and start brawling. Those two team simply hate each other.

Does the N. Texas QB have a problem with short arming his passes?

Willie Taggert out at FSU. Private funds were raised to buy him out, 20 million.

As Terry pointed out elsewhere, I want to know why FSU is not being labeled as racist for not giving him the full contract to show what he could do?

I see where LSU's top linebackers has left the team for personal reasons per the report. That makes LSU's job just that more difficult. I guess we have to wait and see if Kp's concern about the Alabama defense is accurate, then the pressure will be on Joe Burrow whether Tau plays or not.

Don, yeah it really sucks for LSU because they lose him the week of the game. I think he is good but he hasn't started all of their games. It doesn't help them but unless he was calling the defensive signals it may not hurt them much either. Either way, Alabama will probably be in a scoring race in this game so our offense had better be humming. Maybe we can contain Burrow and pressure him. That and scoring a shitload of points is our only hope. Being on the plus side of turnovers will be key also.
