Having watched Georgia a couple of times, I wouldn't want to watch them obliterate our O line. With McGlinchy and Nelson we could go toe to toe with them. Now....No F'n way!
Nice job as usual Terry, thanks. Gators at S. Carolina. Gators should win, but then we should have beaten Kentucky and LSU so who knows. Last week against Georgia was unbelievable. How in the ?????? do you intercept a pass at your goal line trailing 3-0 and about 2 minutes to go to halftime then end up giving up 3 TD's in a minute and a half and trail 24 - 0 and never be in the game the rest of the time? I sure don't understand. That's the way our season has gone. If you took a vote of Gator fans on the internet about out coach he would be history. Perhaps we can start a turnaround this week. Stay tuned.
As to the first playoff rankings I agree the top 4 right now is not likely to hold. Alabama's chances totally hinge on finishing the regular season with one loss then beating Georgia in the SEC Championship. I see them getting there but not beating Georgia. If they do then it's very probable that both teams are in the final four. If not then under that scenario Georgia gets left out. I see Oregon as a real possibility, with one of Ohio State and Michigan State as another. Personally would like to see Cincinnati in if they finish unbeaten.
Longhorns leaking players .... They had a freshman LB enter the portal and his mom tweeted out they were going to find a program that appreciated talent. OK your kid isn't starting or playing much as a true freshman, yeah time to bail. Also a WR, Joshua Moore, who had a bad game at Baylor with drops apparently got into it with Sark at practice yesterday and and cleaned out his locker.
Scott Frost on the season. "We're close. I don't want to overstep here, but I'm really excited about the rest of this year, I'm really excited about next year. I hope we get it. I think we should. With the young guys we've got coming back and the 'opp' to get a few more pieces to add to that, I think this thing could be really good." The issues remain the same: Too many mistakes at inopportune times, leading to way too many close losses. All six of Nebraska's losses this year were one-score games.
Utah hammers Stanford 52-7, Dennis Shaw's teams have been getting worse every year. At one point he was considered one of the top coaches and his teams were tough on both offense and defense. That team with Christian McCaffrey that just killed Iowa in the Rose Bowl seemed to be the peak for him. I wonder what has gone wrong on the Farm.
The story of Big Nut, most recognized Buckeye fan | wtol.com "Buckeye fans of all ages constantly come up to him wanting to get there picture, people even bring their dogs up to meet him and you can even see him getting pictures taken with fans from the opposing team. Regardless of how many people come up to him, and how long it takes him to make his way to the Shoe because of all the pictures, Peters does it without hesitation and with a smile and contagious energy the whole time And as fans continue to come up asking for a picture, First Lady is there to capture the moments and post them to Facebook. To date, Big Nut has more than 30,000 pictures from games and Buckeye events on his Facebook page. While this process would be overwhelming to some, to Big Nut it's a blessing. "You know it's a blessing to me. I'm just a fat guy with face paint. It's a blessing to me somebody would want their picture taken with me," he said."
Stu wasn't there another Ohio State fan who got a lot of press, he always had a big buckeye necklace...I think he passed away though. Do you think the Spoilermakers are going to suit up today?
I think you are talking about "Neutron Man"...I looked him up and he died in 2004...can't believe it was that long ago. Never know when the Spoilermakers are gonna show up...what surprises me is that MSU is only favored by 3 points...the closest spread in the B1G this week. I think I'll keep my wallet in my pocket. Watched (live on facebook) yesterday's final Purdue Band rehearsal...lookin' good.
Early but Nebraska’s defense is pretty formidable in the red zone. It would help if their offense puts together some drives so they don’t wear down.
