    There are so many sects and religious zealots in the Middle East out to kill each other I'm not sure a hybrid clone of Churchill, FDR and Ghandi could make a real difference in that region.

    But if we do nothing, we allow Al Qaeda to establish a Caliphate, based on sharia law, that will include several countries combining together to destroy both Israel and the United States. That's the problem. That was always the problem. "Peace" not an option. We can fight them here or fight them there...

    BTW Dave. I posted examples of the discussion that's going on around the world. There are two sides to all of these arguments and I tried to reflect that in the examples that I chose. Our entire foreign policy is up in the air at the present time. Every thing that Obama attempted to do made things worse and as a lame duck, his support is crumbling. Hillary Clinton will also have a hard time running on her performance as Sec. of State when all of this happened. Sooner or later the Democrats must take responsibility for what they have done and change the direction of their party.

    The destabilization of Iraq was in full swing back in 2003.

    The ability of Al Queda to survive had more to do with Pakistan and Afghanistan than Obama pulling troops out of Iraq..... which by the way I am sure most people would agree was the right thing to do.
