Diane seriously..... where are you guys on the right getting your info?

When it comes to American involvement in Iraq you can only say "get off the Bush thing"..... really?

In my whole life I have never seen such blatant misinformation running so rampant as it currently does.

    It's pretty scary really.

Here's what I know Dave. I watched and heard the President RULE OUT sending ground troops to Iraq. Then today among all the soccer headlines is the other front page item, that the president is sending ground troops over. There wasn't even 24 hours that passed between those news items.

If it's 2, 200, 2000 does it matter? I was shocked, I don't know why, to see that he literally said one day he wouldn't do it but wouldn't rule out drones and then turned around to send some.. Is no one going to hold this guy accountable?

As opposed to those on the left, those on the right actually know what the hell is going on in this world.

No wonder an incompetent gets both elected and reelected. Millions of Americans have their heads up their asses.

Obama said he would not send in air strikes. Then why did he order in an aircraft carrier battle group to the Persian Gulf today?

    http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jun/14/aircraft-carrier-iraq-isis-strike-persian-gulf

That article is from a British newspaper called The Guardian, which is known as the "world's leading liberal voice." BTW- a few days ago, former British prime minister Tony Blair (a Lefty) called upon the United States to militarily attack Iraq, Libya and Syria. He said that George Bush won that war, but Obama has given it all away...

Troops and ships moving back into the Gulf and the entire Middle-East is on fire. Gee......I wonder where we get this stuff?

Seize upon straws if you must.

Is there anyone on the right that thinks protecting the U.S. Embassy is a bad idea?

Does the right secretly prefer another Benghazi attack so they can skewer Obama over that one?

Troops in Iraq to me..... and probably to most unbiased Americans means generally troops to assist one side or the other.

Protecting the U.S. Embassy seems to be a very specific and good idea.

I am sure that the two-faced self-serving Rush Limbaughs of the right wing media must be chortling about such seeming "indecision" just like they would be circling with bloodthirsty criticism if the embassy were attacked with no protection to deter one.

It's sickening that this just goes on and on and on.

Obama's entire Middle-East policy has gone down in flames as he has undone 70 years of careful work by both Democrats and Republicans. It's the single most obvious failure in foreign policy since Woodrow Wilson and you call that a straw? We shouldn't laugh?

Thanks for setting his policies in an official status mode Jo'Co.

Hell..... I didn't realize that your personal opinions were of such a significant magnitude.

So I take it that protecting the U.S. Embassy is a bad idea?

Maybe we wouldn't have to do it if we still had 10,000 weary troops there in Iraq to protect the entire country? Or make that 9,289 after the other 721 U.S. deaths for the year were taken in to account.

Yep..... we should still be in the morass of loss of life and nation building in Iraq as part of W's legacy.

There I go bringing up reality... er.... that name again.....

I say close the embassy. Get all American citizens and as much American inventory out of Iraq ASAP. Stop all foreign aid immediately. Close all but the most essential US installations all around the world.

Use this respite to re-tool, reArm and get ready for the grand finale. Take all the military personnel that are now stateside and lock down the borders.

This is going to end very badly, probably nuclear. I used to think that if we just got out of the Mid East that the Muslims would leave us alone but now I realize that this is a holy war on a global scale. They continually bait us into conflicts and slowly wear us down while increasing their own resolve.

The one advantage we have is technology and sophisticated weaponry that these cavemen cannot even comprehend.

While we get ready ready for the big finish they can cut each other heads off and fill ditches with bodies to their hearts content. A headless Muslim is no threat.

Uh...Dave. I've read your last post four times and I still don't understand it. Why don't you ever respond to points that other writers are making?

I'm just wondering Jo'Co what history book did you get that statement from? Or perhaps is that just your ....opinion.

    http://icasualties.org/Iraq/Index.aspx

Should we go back to the U.S. casualty numbers of the Bush years in Iraq?

Is that what you would call successful mid-east policy Jo'Co?

No. But apparently the left has finally realized it's a good idea. When radical Islamists sense a jellyfish in the White House like Carter and Obama, US embassies are a popular target.

Let's stop talking about what the right thinks. Remember this from Bill Clinton?

"Just" my opinion? No...not just mine...

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair

Speaker of the House John Boehner

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice

    Senator Ted Cruz

I found these and a lot more in just few minutes on CBS News, ABC News etc. The whole world is watching this stuff Dave, and closing your eyes to make it go away won't help.

Quite a surprise Jo'Co that the strongest direct critics of Obama's Middle East policies in your examples are John Boehner and Ted Cruz...

Then in your first link we have this opinion:

"Former U.K. ambassador Christopher Meyer said Blair was wrong, and that the campaign against Saddam was a significant reason for the sectarian violence in Iraq."

Saddam kept the sectarian violence down because he tortured, murdered and gassed as many of the other two sects as he could.

    Iraq is a lost cause.
