    Ted Tollner. I knew there was someone I forgot.

    USC experienced the same era of mediocrity with those three musketeers that ND has experienced with Davie, Willingham, and Weis.

    Larry Smith.. man I forgot how weird that guy's tenure at USC was. He had a real nice run to start things. His biggest issue was that he caught the SC-ND rivalry right at the middle of ND turning around into becoming an ass kicking monster under Holtz. He had 3 straight Pac10 titles before running aground in the last few years. His teams were weird. They could thump Penn State and lose to Memphis in the same season. I believe they fired Larry Smith either via voicemail or on the bus when he was on the way home...
