Kelly was hired after the last game of the regular season and before the bowl game. That would make sense. I'm thinking that there is a certain unwritten protocol in the coaching community that you don't upstage the current coach during the regular season. I may be dead wrong. It's just a guess on my part.
The news media won't let people do the right thing in these situations. They will keep badgering (no pun intended) until he either tells them he has been hired or he lies and tells them he is not the OSU coach or something vague like that. :x
I guess if you already have a job you do not announce to your present employer that yes......I am close to signing on with another company....etc....etc..... When it's done you spring the two week notice on them. Protocol.
