It was a below average season Dave. To make more of it only causes you more angst than you need. Thanks Sid. One of my pet peeves is peeves are people who make much more out of a situation than it really deserves. Even if the season is as bad as Dave says, it's one season and has nothing to do with what is going to happen down the road. So much complaining on GatorCountry that it's almost not fun to go there. Gator fans have for sure become so spoiled that they don't know how to deal with a season that is below average. Funny thing about that though is that you don't have an average without some better and some worse. In fact it's about 50/50. Meyer was the coach at Florida for 6 years. His winning percentage was just over 80%. Three of the seasons were better and three worse than that. Which is the way things are no matter how much complaining. Thanks for the compliment Sid.
Surprise! <t>AP Source: Meyer Walking Away With Health Concerns

Dec 12, 9:57 AM (ET)

By MARK LONG
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A person with knowledge of the situation says Urban Meyer walked away from Florida because of health concerns.

Meyer has a recurring burning sensation in his chest that doctors told him last week would raise cardiovascular risk factors if he continued to coach, the person told The Associated Press on Sunday on condition of anonymity because Meyer's health issues are confidential.

The Gainesville Sun first reported the story.

Meyer announced his resignation Wednesday and said health was not the reason he was walking away. He said he wanted to spend more time with his family.

A person with knowledge of Meyer's health says he can resolve his chest pain with "constant monitoring," which he is doing.</t>
What a shame that someone sworn to confidentiality reveals this information. I know it goes on all the time, but it would be nice if the source of the information could be identified and fired on the spot.
