TOK, can't happen. Not at the Open. Not in New York.

Can you imagine the crowds if he was leading on Sunday going into the back 9? God Bless New Yorkers!

Stricker in at -1, that means the cut is top 60 and anybody within 10 shots....which means Tiger is done. Even he can't lay off this long and comeback on this tough a course and play well.

Clearly he was not mentally ready to play.

Whew....I thought Monty had it. Sorry about Phil, but when you hit only 2 fairways in the final 18, you don't really deserve to win. A cat only has 9 lives, Phil needed 10 today.

Oligivey is an uninspiring winner, at least to me.

I was hoping if Phil crashed that Furyk or Paddy would win.

I thought Monty was going to win after he drained that long putt on 17 and then hit the great drive on 18. But it wasn't meant to be for him or Phil.

Boy that is one tough golf course. Wasn't the winning score +7 the last time they played the Open ay Winged Foot?

It definitely made you pay, some of those chunks the guys were making from the rough looked very familiar to me! :)

Phil said, in response to criticism of his choice of driver off #18, was that with the swing he was making he'd have ended up in the same place just further back if he'd hit a 4 wood. I'm not so sure I buy that, guys all the time on tour go with something other than driver in situations like that and the shorter shaft helps them to keep it in the fairway.
