Trump is a diabolical narcissist intent on saving his reputation and accepting zero criticism.
And with the help of conservative news media he somehow keeps his base intact.... no matter how false his claims are or how self aggrandizing his statements are with no factual evidence to back up what he says.
So I agree..... there is so much division in the country it's time for me to just sit back and watch the madness unfold.

You know Dave if you delusional Trump haters hadn't already blamed him for hurricanes, and for western forest fires, it would be novel if you were blaming him for the latest natural disaster. But it's the same ole tired, "it's all Trump's fault." And the same liberal media that gave us 2 years of lying about Russian collusion and an impeachable phone call are at it again. And the same brain-dead morons are buying their **** again.

Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler are diabolical narcissists intent on saving their reputation and accepting zero criticism. And with the help of liberal news media they somehow keep their base intact.... no matter how false their claims are or how self aggrandizing their statements with factual evidence actually contradicting what they say.
So I agree..... there is so much division in the country it's time for you to just sit back and continue watching your anti-Trump version of the constantly fake news.

You guys here just prove my point of it all being pointless to debate.

I expect all of you to follow your leader's recommendations and go forth with unbridled enthusiasm and begin to enjoy life anew as Trump tells you that's what you need to do..... when he says it's time to do it.

I appreciate your bravado..... somebody has to do it.

    Good luck and be safe.

    What debate????
Folks here like Kesley throw up documented items to support their position, and you run to the shadows of some other straw-man argument to avoid being shown the light.
    Give it a rest Dave.
I'm not a fan of Donald Trump, but since my option is to hand over my brain and join the socialist sheeple, I think I'll just stay on the conservative side.

You prove your own point of it all being pointless to debate.

I expect you to follow your leaders, including CNN, and go forth with unbridled hate, vitriol, and disrespect and begin to try to tear down everyone and everything that CNN tells you that you need to..... when they say to do it.

I appreciate your consistent lack of independent thought and respect..... too bad 40% of this country has the same lack as you do.

    Good luck.

I make up my own mind.... thanks Kes. I don't need slanted TV reporting and features to help me understand what's going on and assist some people as they do in actually running the country.
Good luck going blindly forth with Donald and "liberating" your part of the country.

Come on Dave, you have your mind made up before you read or watch anything. You're about as open minded as Mao was, and when you read something that validates your world view, it's the truth, if it doesn't it's slanted.

Terry..... my mind just can't wrap itself around the blatantly slanted.... baseless angles put forth daily on Fox News. It was a network created with Rush Limbaugh type entertainment in mind and it never has really strayed from the core objective.
Time and time again they pander and stretch and report opinions more than actual facts.
Trump is their guy for now and they support him like he was their CEO.....and seriously Terry....
you really listen to what Trump says? And how he presents himself and interacts with others?
It's pretty..... to use his overused term.... incredible!!!

And not one of them would stand a chance of being nominated for President by their party or especially any chance in hell of being elected President. At least one side of the fence recognizes extremism, narcissism and radical views too far out there for general acceptance.....much less adulation.

In the 18th Century, Queen Marie wondered why the peasants could not simply eat cake to prevent starvation. Marie 2.0 recommends gourmet ice cream.

And here Trump is still politicking.... throwing caution out over winning a few votes:
"When he talks about "liberating" a state, he's calling for a reprise of what occurred in Michigan on Wednesday, when thousands of protesters, many of them carrying Trump signs, wearing MAGA hats and chanting "Lock her up!", protested stay-at-home orders issued by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in a life-and-death effort to slow a pandemic that has already killed thousands in her state, one of the worst-hit in the country.
What exactly is Trump trying to do? This is not an out-of-range dog whistle. We can all hear it. Trump is calling for open revolt in three states -- all of which are potentially competitive in 2020 and run by Democratic governors. The three states are also home to thousands of people diagnosed with Covid-19, a disease that has killed tens of thousands of Americans, with the potential to kill millions in the US if allowed to freely run its course in the population.'
And if the virus gets out of control and begins to kill many more in those states than it should Trump will step back and deny he incited anyone to do anything and it's all the Democratic governors fault droves more people are dying.
    That's a sick man.....

Sure Dave, "life and death." You can go to Home Depot and buy lysol but not a package of seeds. You can buy alcohol, lottery tickets, and legal pot because the state generates taxes from that and life and death is not as important as supporting her and her government. (Note as tens of thousands of Michiganders are not working not one government worker has been laid off.) You can fish in a row boat or a kayak but not in a boat with a motor. Why? Life of death or a motor has a carbon footprint. If you have a cottage up north you can't go there, that's right you can't go to your own home.
Her dictatorial proclamations make no sense unless you look behind them and see the ideology behind them. If you can barely walk because of an arthritic knee, you can't get a replacement but if you want an abortion, NO PROBLEM. Michigan is ****** Dave but it's not because of Trump, it's because of that stupid bitch in Lansing.

Michigan is not my fight anymore Gipper....
I do keep up with the happenings and my former business associates in the auto show business must be absolutely devastated..... cancelled NY and Detroit Auto Shows.... and no shows or conventions anywhere for quite some time to come.
Regarding the governor.... I'm looking at it from the outside so I really have no interest in it other than it seemed highly irresponsible for all those people to take such a chance and group together in Lansing the other day.
And for Trump to tweet encouragement for them and other states to repeat such dumb gatherings and/or get back into life prematurely at risk of illness to themselves and others is irresponsible as well.

Interesting that after Mike listed some of the bizarre regulations issued by Whitmer, your response failed to address or defend these regulations even though you initially derided those protesting these regulations in Lansing as a horde of ill informed MAGA yahoos.

I think the following passage from a recent article from Charlie Sykes, a conservative but caustic critic of Trump, makes some good points regarding the dangers caused by issuing regulations that appear motivated by political ideology than virus containment

Any type of action taken or things that are said by political figures like governors and presidents at this point in a pandemic that appear to be politically motivated is a very poor choice of action or words and has the potential for public disapproval.
That said my wife and I drove by a Lowes last Saturday here in the Tampa area and this mammoth parking lot was jammed full of cars..... to the brim.
She read that people were going to places like Lowes or Home Depot and walking or riding around on those mobile carts just window shopping and ogling merchandise because they were bored at home and had nothing better to do than go out and endanger themselves, other dumb ass "shoppers" and Lowes employees.
By the way I told my wife of the memories I have of the overly crowded home and garden centers in Michigan in the spring on a Saturday like Lowes or any garden/flower center and places like Eastern Market in downtown Detroit.
It's a rite of spring in Michigan that's an annual event and I guess people just don't give a **** if it's made dangerous because of Covid-19.

    Dave,

One thing I love about our little community here is that over the years I have realized that there's some super smart cookies in the neighborhood. With that said, this Jarhead is even smart enough not to engage in hardcore debates with some of the residents because of their experience and knowledge, and I've got cojonies the size of Tennis Balls! Trust me, the size of my wedding tackle box didnt help in a few of those debates.

    Just trying to help!
