Neither Pryor or Tressel now have to cooperate with the NCAA it will be interesting to see what happens. I would expect that Tressel will cooperate but I wonder if Pryor will.

Lots of rumors about the Pryor/Talbott relationship. Checks are supposedly surfacing and supposedly your compliance dept knew about it. I wonder if this is what Herby was talking about when he said on ESPN that he has heard that a lot more will be coming out.

I would certainly agree with Stu that if I were a OSU fan I would like the results of the investigation first...good or bad and then move on from there.

The NCAA does what they want to do and in the timeline that only they define. The longer this OSU "investigation" drags on, the more you are going to hear from every disgruntled player, booster and hanger-on in country. People will only pay attention to the negative reports and recruiting and reputation will take repeated hits. Honestly, I know how the OSU supporters feel and it is probably going to get worse before it gets better.

I'm with Stu, let's get it all out, establish the facts, determine the causes and deal with it in an effective manner and move on......we'll be back.

Unfortuneately I think you guys are in for a summer long expose by ESPN and other media outlets as they uncover unamed sources and other rumours.

Florida was in an "Ohio State" kind of NCAA jam in 1984.

Serious sanctions took their toll for several years in the late 80s......but as we know UF got over it....winning 3 national titles since then and Florida became a better program for it because implementing tough compliance rules became the norm for UF coaches and administration.

I see OSU in the same vein but they need to shed all people responsible for what has happened....be forthcoming immediately with the NCAA and take the punishment.

Kelly Washington was a cancer at Tennessee. He is no longer welcome at our place. I would imagine that Pryor will fide the same welcome at OSU in the future.

There are plenty of thugs who do things contrary to the rules.....there also plenty of kids who are not thugs who also do things contrary to the rules, just because they are kids.....

I'm of the mind that it is inevitable. It is just now a matter of developing the best plan. I truly don't see any other way out......

A good piece on just those kinds of stories, those that read them and those that treat them as gospel......and the state of their current good works.....

Good article. It rightfully takes to task the herd mentality of sportswriters. Where the writer errs, in my opinion, is assuming that the writers he cites are respected or even read by people with reasonable minds. They may be respected by their peers, but that's akin to being the most popular girl in the whorehouse.

Agreed Sid...and my view and certainly in this case one uses, as factual evidence, the hearsay/rumor unsubstantiated blather from another to build an argument for an even greater crime and subsequent penalty......it will be interesting to see the actual proven transgressions after all is said and done......and by the way, tho not compelled to do so, Coach Tress stood before the committee and gave his testimony.....
