Chris Speilmann went on the record that Pryor had a different set of rules as a Buckeye, that he was allowed to be late for meetings, to miss weight training sessions and that he didn't understand why JT allowed this. Herbie implied all of this quite awhile ago and had to leave Columbus, turns out he didn't have a vendetta against Pryor he just knew what was going on and didn't like it.
KP...didn't mean to imply you were a "hater"... I just threw that comment in because you kind of made fun of me previously for using the term "haters" in a post.
Too bad they didn't listen to Herbie. There was no reason he would have it in for Tressel or the Buckeyes. Now it's the future players, fans and supporters who have to pay and that to me has never been fair.
I'm just curious, when a school stonewalls and denies any wrongdoing like USC and delays further by appealing just how is a punishment to be meted out? Reggie Bush and Pete Carrol are long gone and in the pros and out of the reach of the NCAA. AT OSU they could have admitted the infractions before the season started last year and everything could have been taken care of but Tressel chose to cover up delaying the investigation. So what is "fair."
OSU <r>Like I said this thing is getting uglier by the minute..Now it's the compliance Director on the hot seat....

<LINK_TEXT text="http://aol.sportingnews.com/ncaa-footba ... r-50-times">http://aol.sportingnews.com/ncaa-football/feed/2010-12/osu-suspensions/story/car-dealer-osu-compliance-director-called-me-over-50-times</LINK_TEXT>
.

Man, they are in a world of hurt on this one.

This is really gonna hurt them for a few years. It is however, OSU and with the football talent they have in state and the fan support from the whole state they will rebound but it's gonna hurt for a while when the NCAA gets through with them.</r>
Your link didn't work so I couldn't get to the article. But if it's the same story that's been out there...you may be right. Allegedly the compliance director signed off on all the car sales as being legal and within rules...so either it's much ado about nothing or the compliance department is the most inept and crooked bunch on earth.
Would you Ohio State guys just as soon that Pryor and the other 4 guys move on to the NFL? Seems like Pryor with his new Z car is just saying see ya.
If it's true about his general complacency, being late for meetings and his obvious disregard for what is happening around him with the new Z then I can't imagine any Buckeye fan or coach wanting him to stick around.
It gets better for Pryor, Kevin Nehghandi of ESPN tweeted that sources have revealed that Pryor is driving with a suspended license. Terrell time to move on son.
Gip, here are some direct quotes from the source... Isaac, Monus, the NCAA investigative staff and federal investigators are all on the same page with respect to Tress and the YSU matter and have been for a long, long time. Indeed, following the investigations at YSU, Tressel was promoted to AD no doubt - under the circumstances - with NCAA blessing and the staff gave them props for their support in the follow-up investigation. It's a matter of the public record, look it up if you're interested.....the only outlying data point here is that of the writer and he is the least informed of the bunch. I wouldn't take that one to court if I were you....you will of course choose what ever you want to believe, but you give all indications of making rational decisions, so your options in that regard would appear to be limited.....
No, not quite....with a newbie offense I efigure them to give the ball up a few times in bad situations....I expect you guys to get at least 13......
All Ohio State has to do is come out dressed as Longhorns and it's game over for the boys from Lincoln!!
