Things should improve now that Pac-10 Commissioner Tom Hansen has retired and been replaced by Larry Scott. Hansen was considered a good commissioner in the past, but for quite some time he's been viewed by several Pac-10 fans as having a caretaker attitude.
 8) Revenues does not make a good team.....CASE IN POINT....NOTRE DAME Has been, will never ever again be, when the alumni at NBC retires that contract wll go with the wind, ratings last five years are below Bush's poll results and a tad above a bad movie
Miami has no money and a shitty football team. You're a great big bowl of fail today Gonz. ------------------------------------------------- Ah, but the season hasn't even started!!! COCO, we don't pretend to have large crowds of bucko bucks and Larry Coker decimated this team.....BUT.....we are progressing upwardly after two years of top ten classes.....last year 70% of our starters were freshmen, thats how bad it was. Miami has a future........ND a past that most people can't remember cause its been soooooooooooooooo long ago
You didn't seem to apply that same sympathy when ND was using a freshman lineup, why is it good for your team now? ND has been to 2 BCS bowls in the past 4 seasons. You haven't been to one of those since the 'guy who destroyed your program' took you to one.
And speaking of "bucko bucks"...... http://www.miamiherald.com/news/miami-dade/gables-smiami/story/1161820.html
Interesting. The football team may be "progressing nicely" but the city itself is not. At least from my vantage point going past by boat in May. We were just off the beach heading from Stuart to the Keys. Miami looked like an advertisement for the housing crisis. One high rise condo after the next, either empty or half built with no construction equipment in site. Dozens of them. I've heard they are having "buy one, get one free sales". We put into Miami Beach marina with an engine problem. While trying to locate a mechanic I was admiring all the uber yachts surrounding us. Then I started noticing lots of girls in string bikinis getting on boats and then off. Some would come in on one yacht or power boat and transfer to another with the deckhands at the marina pocketing cash from the various captains at $1.00 per boat foot. As it turned out we were sitting in a tropical marina whore house. The boats getting girls were not even allowed to tie up; they would back close to a dock and the attendants would hand up the girl(s) and the captain would hand back the cash. Something tells me that this was not flowing back into the depressed Miami economy 8)
