Unfortunately I haven't been to sing karaoke since the cases in Florida skyrocketed in early June.
If you Google "is HCQ a cure for Covid-19?" links come up like the one from the CDC that says "NO".
So altering your behavior when reopening or heading out for a night on the town because you think HCQ will "cure" you as Trump has sometimes falsely suggested can be deadly and careless and it reflects total irresponsibility and lack of concern for human life by Trump.

Wonderful speech by Michelle O last night. She's such a wonderful judge of character.

    From Obama last night:
a grizzled Obama the elder warned America that it should expect a "president to be the custodian of this democracy."
"We should expect that regardless of ego, ambition, or political beliefs, the president will preserve, protect, and defend the freedoms and ideals that so many Americans marched for and went to jail for; fought for and died for," he said.
Obama, now a private citizen, has no formal power and no mandate to speak to the American people the way he did Wednesday night, at a virtual convention that in its crowd-free isolation served to underscore the grave nature of his message.
But he carries the authority of his historic status, the moral weight of two White House terms and enduring popularity in the half of the country revolted by Trump's abuses of power, divisive racial politics and constant cultivation of his own ego.
And Obama's breach of etiquette for retired presidents was preceded by years of Trump attacking him in ways never previously seen by an American presidential successor, with Trump routinely, baselessly accusing Obama of treason.

More hyperbole...no one can discuss anything with you because of it. Nobody has suggested anything like "Go out and expose yourself because HCQ will cure you." Nobody.

Yeah, I googled it just for shits and giggles...Top hit was from University of Pennsylvania medical school...it says "It is not all clear" whether there is benefit from HCQ and it is "currently under investigation".

That video has been debunked plenty. Overstated the case. Penn Med reference is currently up on their web page for FAQ’s.

So would you alter your caution and care because you think HCQ is going to cure you as is suggested in the video and that Trump supported? If not that then I can't see how in hell HCQ can be suggested in any way as something to assist us in this pandemic.

    A. I think probably any benefit by HCQ is minimal. Certainly not a "cure". Nor has it been purported to be a cure...even by President Trump (who I agree may have been over enthusiastic about it...so what?). Only by the crazy witch doctor.

    B. I think risks are minimal...and possibly are outweighed by the "maybe" benefits. It's a safe drug with a proven track record in that regard.

    C. I would take it if I got the COVID.

    D. The right of a doctor and patient to determine treatment trumps all...even the stupid politicization of this issue.

    E. There has been no "altering" of my feelings on this issue from the start...certainly not by the zealots on either side of the issue.

Trump re-tweeted that wacko doctor's video.... calling her very impressive:
President Trump abruptly ended a tense press conference at the White House on Tuesday, after he defended Houston Dr. Stella Immanuel as a "very impressive" for touting hydroxychloroquine -- just hours after Twitter deleted the president's retweet of a video featuring Immanuel speaking about the drug.
On Monday, Trump retweeted the viral video, which included several doctors, including Immanuel. Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook removed the video after millions viewed it. In the video, Immanuel insists, “Nobody needs to get sick. ... This virus has a cure.” Doctors in the video also suggest that schools don't need to remain closed.
Immanuel adds in the video that no one needs to wear protective masks, contradicting current scientific and media orthodoxy -- even though scientists, and the U.S. Surgeon General, said they believed masks were unnecessary just months ago.

And we wonder why we continue to lead the world in being plagued by this virus and quite probably will have no college football this fall. Here is the story from Fox News:
Trump ends press briefing after defending pro-hydroxychloroquine doctor who says virus has a 'cure'

"And we wonder why we continue to lead the world in being plagued by this virus"
    Really?
"Coronavirus infections are surging again across much of Europe and governments are racing to prevent a full-fledged second wave of the pandemic —without resorting to the kind of broad lockdowns that devastated their economies in the spring."
Covid-19 Appeared to Be Under Control in Europe. Now It’s Surging Again.
You're drinking the left ******** again (as always). The fact is the only difference between the US and Europe is that our economy although badly damaged hasn't been decimated the way Europe's has. That's because we have leadership that has tried to balance between effectively fighting the virus and keeping our economy from destruction. Now if we could only stop the rioting leftists from destroying businesses in our cities.

    New cases yesterday:
    U.S. 49,700
new cases /// population 333 mil
Italy 947 new cases /// 60.4 million pop cases times 5.5 US population multiplier = 5300 new cases
    France 4586 new case /// 65.2 mil pop " " " times 5.2 =24,000 new cases
    Germany 1427 new cases /// 83.8 mil pop times 4 = 5700 new cases
    Florida US 4684 new cases/// 21.4 million

So Gipper quit using Trump Math 101 and tell me how we are not doing much much worse than Europe with Covid-19 management right now.
Good thing those on the right can be pre-occupied with riots of several weeks ago so you don't have to be depressed about no college football and our lousy management of Covid-19 with schools trying to re-open.

Do you know how many people have little or no symptoms? Do you know that until you test, you can't identify them? Do you know that the US has tested many times what these countries have? Does you small mind think that just because these countries don't test nearly as large a percentage of population, that they have no untested infected citizens?
Several weeks ago? They've had riots in Portland every night for 9 weeks. Chicago is a mess. Seattle is a mess. People are depressed because their restaurants and stores have been destroyed and some morons are depressed because they can't watch college football?

Crucial number when comparing the spread of the virus is the daily positive rate of tests performed:
Here is the rolling 7 day average from August 20th back:
    U.S. 6.7%
    France 3.6
    Italy 1.6
    Germany .9

Portland police have declared 13 nights out of the last 80 as "riot" events..... which is 13 too many and it is a terrible thing.
However..... the number of businesses large and small severely impacted by Covid-19 is monstrous compared to the number of businesses impacted by protests and "riots".

No and he really doesn't care, his only goal is to demonize Trump.

MCG is the poster child for Trump Derangement Syndrome.

But hey everyone needs something to do and I guess this is his outlet.

Yeah, you're right...and one (riots) is condoned and ignored by your side and the other (business shutdowns) is, to many minds, being promoted as necessary to have a bad economy in order to badmouth trump.

Both are being actively fought by the President...with much push back from your beloved left.

Well..... none of that is true Stu.

Normally I don't view you in particular as a conspiracy theorist but with that post I'm expecting your full support of QAnon next.
