Our defense is no slouch either. Held the Tebow offense to a field goal.

    Florida 13 - 6

So far, hardly the blowout the talking heads have advertised all week.

On NBC, we have the worst GD announcers in football. We recover a fumble and run with it 7 yards. Our announcers are still talking as if no one recovered it and the ball went out of bounds on its own.

Then we line up in a single back set and they proclaim 'its the Wildcat'

    jeeeez....

Switched over to the last 5 minutes of the ND first half to see another controversial call. It appears it was a TD to me.

I can't believe that the call on the field wasn't overturned, that was a freakin' TD. The replay was clear he got the left foot down and I thought his right foot was in bounds as well....just awful. The replay refs are Big East.

I like how they call the face mask penalty on a guy who is being held and drug to the ground.. which means the official saw him.. but somehow not the holding. wow.

Floyd out, Clausen clearly has a problem. Not good.

Also I have to ask, Clausen went to his knee when he saw the MSU kid coming up the middle (thank you for that Wiff Jonas Gray) so I don't understand why that wasn't a late hit. He was down.

    Terry,

I wondered the same thing. Replay shows the LB who hit him took 3 full strides before hitting him.

There's a quote in that article I linked above. I agree with it a lot.

I see the Cornhuskers are in a tough battle with Va.Tech, USC and Wash are tied and UF leading Tenn 16-6 a far cry from the multitouchdown beat down that many thought would happen including me.

To me the most shocking is the 10-10 USC/UW game. I guess it helps when you have a coach who can actually coach not just stand on the sidelines looking stern.

I've been saying the same thing. He was hit by 2 guys after he went down to a knee. If that ankle cools down during the half, he might not be able to play in the second half.

Crompton is intercepted... Let's see what he does on the next series. That will tell if he is going to fall apart after the first mistake.

Two passes and both incomplete. One well overthrown... the main problem last year. The other completed to the Gator fan in the 10th row.

Looks like my 21 point sacrifice will not be sacrificed after all.

This was not the blow out game that the heads predicted. If they had a brain amongst them, they could figure out that Lane's comments preseason were designed to get Tennessee's name in the headlines for recruiting. The class we brought in after the season we had last year proves his methods. It will pay off... not today... but it will pay off for the future of Tennessee football.

I am proud to have Lane Kiffin as my coach. To quote Tim Gentry, with a slight modification: To hell with everyone else... Go Tennessee!

First TD given up by the Florida defense and it comes at the hand of the much maligned Tennessee offense.

It probably won't be a win, but it is great to see this offense not giving up.

    Florida 23 - 13

The yellow flags were not too numerous in the third period but you just know if ND holds onto the lead they ill be back in numbers.

That's the spirit, Tom. I didn't see the game, but judging from the score, the Vols are well on their way back.

Great showing by Tennessee. Looks like the Gators "cupcake" diet did not prepare them for the Vols.
