This upcoming week, starting tomorrow night could have a major impact on the season.

Alabama, Oregon, and Baylor all have huge games that they could lose. Alabama/LSU, Oregon/Stanford, and Baylor/OU. If all of those teams lose then FSU and Ohio State will emerge big winners and neither is likely to lose going down the stretch.

Don, you gotta watch out for Bye Week!
They have a salty defense that shuts out almost every team they face!

USAToday published a list of Football Coaches Salaries...

No surprise that Saban is the highest paid coach....what is a surprise is that Brian Kelly is #70 on the list, now that has to be incorrect and ND being a private school isn't subject to FOA requests and stuff like that so I don't know where they got the number but it has to be higher.

    Terry,

I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow got hold of some records that hint at Kelly's base salary.
As we all know... there are TONS of incentives and perks written in that greatly increase the coaches compensation.

Holy cow! Bielema is that high?
    WTF were the Hogs thinking?
I'm sure he'll improve them, and make them competitive, but boy that's a lot of dough for that guy...
A little surprised that Butch Jones is that high too.
Not that Tennessee can pay that, but that he got that coming from Cincinnati.

Damn, Arkansas could hire a junior high football coach for 25k and get the same results that they they get for 5M from Bielema.

Interesting list of coaches pay. I see that when Louisville moves to the ACC he will be the highest paid coach in that conference.

Looking at the pay for other SEC teams and knowing the Gators can pay as well as any of them should be big incentive for Muschamp to put a winner on the field. :)

I see that Texas A&M has decided that they don't really care about restarting the Thanksgiving Day tradition. Deloss Dodds did many good things at Texas in his years as AD, but the end has been mess, the Longhorn Network, the giving the Aggies the finger on the way out the door, etc.

Somebody said that A&M and LSU are thinking about starting a tradition of playing Thanksgving or Thanksgiving Weekend. I have to laugh at that not because it wouldn't annually be a great game that draws a lot of attention. But unless something has changed Scott hates LSU, maybe even more than he hates Texas!!

    LOL...
I just can't win can I Terry?!

Actually, it's already decided - sort of.
In the years we play L$U in College Station the game will be on T-day.
L$U has as of now chosen to keep the game on the Saturday after when it's in Baton Rouge.
Knowing how they love night games, I wonder if they'll change their tune when we end up playing day games on their home turf, and night games at Kyle?

I've only ever met a few Aggies in my life, and they've never had a good word to say about LSU. At least with Texas, it's a rival. With LSU, they just seem to hate them. I'm not totally sure how wide spread that is, or even why it is, but that's been my perception from my narrow view of things. I know way more LSU alums and fan. They are 'spit their drink out in laughter' spiteful of Texas A&M. Someone will have to explain this to me one day.

Still, I hate the college football world in which the Horns and Aggies don't meet on the field.

Chatter on Texas boards is more and more positive that Saban will be our coach in 2014. 8)

Well, if those guys are as good at predicting as Mack is at coaching, I don't think Alabama will have anything to worry about.

    Corey,

    The short version:
We've had several long contracts with Loser St. I guess we needed money, cuz originally we played all the games in Baton Rouge.
Can you imagine having to go there every year? That in and of itself will put a burr under your saddle. :)
In the latest installment we had a 10 year contract, and proceeded to beat their @sses off. They got tired of it and broke the contract with several games to play, and would not pay the penalty that was stipulated. Somehow it got around to if we sued, we'd have to do it in Louisiana court. How do you suppose that would have worked out?
Mostly we hate them because of their drunken coon-@ss fans. I've NEVER seen the kind of crap they spew, and that was in College Station.

Our fan bases are diametrically opposed as far as I can tell.

Sounds like you guys have a valid reason to hate them. I just think they hate you because, well, they probably got drunk and forgot but I'm sure they have one. ;)
