    No excuses on the Texas defense, it's been a big disappointment this year. There was a lot of talent returning this year, and our pass defense would give Krebs heartburn. The love of Gene Chizik is fading in Longhorn land. I do believe that the Texas defense is worse vs the pass than the ND defense and Chizik has the advantage of a team full of speed athletes and recruiting anybody who qualifies, no academic restrictions and no recruit worries about the weather, social life, quality of pretty coed's, etc.

    As far as Wisky, how does anybody know that they are pretty tough? Did you look at that schedule? I mean Mich and Penn State, that's it, the rest of the teams are mediocre to be kind. I'm not saying they don't belong in the top 25 or anything like that, I just don't think they are being screwed with their ranking.

    I guess we all will look at this through our individual colored glasses, mine being colored Orange and Blue.

    If the Gators win out, and that's a big if, then from these Orange and Blue glasses they deserve to be ranked number 2.

    How's that for undesputable facts?? :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

    I propose we settle this right here and now and call the schools and redirect Army to W.Carolina and the Gators get on the plane to South Bend!! :)

    Nice thought Terry! :wink: :wink:

    However i wouldn't want my team to have to play Notre Dame, FSU and the SEC Championship game the next three weeks.

    Now I would dearly love for the Gators and the Irish to play a home and home series sometime down the road.

    You really don't fear a FSU team that got shutout at home 30-0 by Wake Forrest do you Bill? A team that was beaten by Maryland at home?

    I'm not kidding when I say FSU is likely to be no tougher than W.Carolina. They are pathetic and I think they have quit on Bowden.

    hmm

    <t>I can answer that in three words Terry: "Yes they would"<br/>
    <br/>
    I know as much about Wisconsin as I do the bulk of the teams in the SEC. I've seen damn near every game they've played (much like the teams in the SEC) and their schedule sucks (much like the teams in the...all hell you know).. <br/>
    <br/>
    Anyway, I have watched them all year. Wiscy is a good team. Not a real exposive offense by any stretch, but stout D and ball control offense via the power running game. Alvarez has left a legacy in the plains of Wisconsin and its still rolling strong.</t>

    TOK,

    I took the time to average the conference rankings from each of the 6 computers used by the BCS....interesting stuff.

    Big East 1.8
    Pac 10 2.2
    SEC 2.8
    Big 10 3.2
    ACC 5.2
    Big 12 5.8

    The Big East is ranked strongest by 2 computers, PAC 10 by 3 and the Big 10 by 1. The SEC is rated no lower than 3rd by anybody, but strongest by nobody.

    The ACC and the Big 12 were ranked the two weakest by all six systems....and with the one TOK referenced, that makes it a unanimous 7.

    TOK, it was an outstanding win....our problem is that when you beat everybody, some necessarily will have to judged as better than others...when the only relevant point is that one did, in fact, beat everybody they played! 8)
