Bubba was on Letterman late night last night. He asked Bubba what he thought of his own game after winning the Masters? Bubba without hisitation and a slight smile answered "Awesome" That really cracked up Letterman and Bubba was really not trying to be coy, at least in my opinion.
I saw him on the Golf Channel Monday night or maybe it was Tues ...but he was talking about how Steve Elkington had tweeted something nice to him and it really meant a lot and he started to get chocked up. So the host said for those of you that don't know but a few years ago when Bubba was playing with Elkington he told Bubba he'd be selling used cars in 6 mos and of course they had words. Then Bubba expanded on that and a tear started to run down his cheek. Come on Bubba, cut back on the crying!
Hey, I'd cry too if I could hit the ball like Bubba. Look at the overhead view. His shot curved for the first half and then went straight for the second half. Wish I could learn how to do that!
Huh? Why would you say that? Does it annoy you? If so, why? I find it refreshingly honest and indicative of a young man with strong character....the exact opposite of Tiger Woods.
Sid I'm always so happy to see you that I want to cry and give you a big hug, but felt that you might take it as a sign of weakness. Make sure you bring klenex the next time we meet!
Terry, I laughed so hard and loud at your post above that my wife called from the other room asking me what was so funny. Touche'.
