Only 12 games this week (78 total points). Unless we have close to perfect games for everyone, most of us will have this week become our week to drop but it should come back into play on the last week. Just makes it a little harder to predict the leaders...
Two Friday games this week. Make your picks wisely. Even though there are officially two weeks left, this week will possibly decide the top three positions.
Seven people that normally make their picks the last few weeks have not yet made their picks for this all important week. Four of the seven are in the top 10. Get those picks in gang. 11:25 a.m. central tomorrow is the deadline.
A little over 8 hours left to get your picks in for week 14. Again, week 14 appears to be the last week to add to your score if you have not missed a week. Chances are that the top three positions will be decided this week.
Just a little over 6 hours left for the final week. If fo nothing else but pride, get those picks in!
I don't know...there's something about a contest that ends the week prior to the last week, that I can't get excited about. And to be honest with ya, the lowest, highest, we threw out last weeks score and keept the 1st weeks score ******** or however this friggin' thing works isn't that attractive. What I mean is that I liked the old way of our contests better, but I know that takes someone else's valuable time up. But I always felt it was OURS and we weren't subject to others rules. And no Tom, I don't Volunteer (sorry for the pun) for the job next year...I'm just bitchin' that's all. I mean c'mon....I finished behind a guy that voted half the damn time...how's that work? :?
I like the idea of throwing out the lowest week. The only problem is that with the changing number of games each week everyone throws out the same week. If someone did miss any week but this last one they were out of the running any way.
AJ, The decision to drop a week was our decision. It is an option that Yahoo offers. If the majority decides next year that we should not allow you to drop a week, we can eliminate that option.
Tom, it seemed like a good decision to drop a week to compensate for a bad week or a missed week. However like I said above with the varying number of games each week I think we should reconsider. It kind of distorts the standings when come the last week everybody's dropped week gets added back in. Even during the season everyone has the same dropped week and if it hadn't been for you keeping us all updated I'm not sure if we would have all been aware that by the end of the season that week was going to be back in the standings. I guess just to sum up my feelings we should not drop a week as it ends up being meaningless anyway. At least to the top 10 or more folks in the standing.
I guess we put it up for a vote, again, next year. If we don't drop a week it does give incentive for everyone to be on time making their picks.
Cindy an I just compared and there is a first for this season. She and I both picked the same teams and the exact same points for each game. This would not be that unusual with seven games if we had picked all favorites. However, we picked three underdogs. At the very least, I can happily say that Cindy has no chance of out scoring me this week!
