Dont see why Florida fans can call anyone "bush league".....anyone remember Spurrier running up the scores vs UGA, Tenn, Auburn, et al???

    THAT WAS BUSH LEAGUE

    Go Dawgs!!!!

I was on the fence on this issue. With Gonzo chiming in on the side of Richt, I know now that Richt's actions were...

    Bush League!

If it doesn't turn it around what was lost?

If it does, It will go down as one of the greatest all time calls ever. Florida fans will hate that call for the next 25 years in the same way they hate hearing "Run Lindsey Run". . It will be fun watching this pan out.

As for Richt, I haven't been much of a fan of his to this point. He needs to make some tough choices. He did give up the offense to Bobo. He's atleast taken a step in the right direction. At first I didn't like his celebration call, but as time goes by I like it more and more. I'm glad to see he has the guts to win at all cost like Fulmer and Meyer.

    Go Dawgs, Go Canes.

Tailback, this will pretty much be my last post here.

First the video, if you can't see how that was at least a confusing situation you are blind. But we got a 15 yard penalty and that's fine also.

    You won the game.

But you are deluding yourself if you think us Gators are going to remember that penalty like we remember the run Lindsey run play you are talking about. That play cost us an SEC Championship which to that point we had never won.

This play is a blip on the radar, you think it was brilliant, I don't. I can live with that and we'll see you next year in the Gator Bowl.

Meanwhile you and Gonzo carry on a conversation among each other if you like. It's kind of like old days on Prodigy huh?

    I agree Bill.

This is a blip for us Gators.

It's gonna take a lot more convincing than that for us to believe Georgia is back in the series and deep down I think the Georgia players and staff know that.

They used to beat our strongest teams on a regular basis and now they can only surprise our weakest teams once in a great while.

    That about sums it up.

:D 8) Bill, its good its your last comment here.

TB......Richt did the right thing......there's a lot of well-harbored and justified hate for the Gators running up scores and Spurrier's lip flips taunting other teams even after being defeated.

What goes around comes around.....this time it was the Gators on the receiving end.

    Go Dawgs

I can't believe that this "blip" had generated 70 posts.

GB, If the series turns around after this call it will be as big to the Dawgs as the Run Lindsey Run call. After the Gators have dominated the series for 18 years something big was needed to make the change. Again, time will tell. "If" UGA turns this around, how can you deny that this call won't be huge?

I'm going to make one attempt here to clarify what I am saying for Tailback. (I don't give a **** what Gonzo thinks)

Let me withdraw bush league which I think bothers Tailback and I don't really think it covers what I mean that well anyway.

However I don't think it was a brilliant move by any means. First as I said earlier the play was under review as to whether Mareno was actually over the goal line. If it was ruled that he was down before the goal line then Geogia would have been penalized back to the 30 yard line. How brilliant would that have looked?

Secondly doing what he did was risking a fight on the field and with so many folks in the stands who had more than their share of liquor by game time, a fight in the field could have resulted in trouble in the stands or after afterward. How brilliant would Richt have looked then?

Thirdly, just in my opinion his letter, which was an obvious lie even to Tailback sort of negates the fine comments that Richt made the week before about stomping on Vandy's logo.

So in my mind Richt went down several notches. But that's just one man's opinion, mine. And it does not mean that I think Richt is a poor coach or a bad person, just that I hold him in less esteem that I did a week ago.

As to what it did in the game, not much in my estimation. Georgia was a better team that day with or without that celebration.

Also in my opinion it will have zero effect on next years game.

Now I hope I am done.
