Alright then, how about making him an "assistant?" When you look at some of the NFL lineman he coached at ND you wonder why we ended up with so many outstanding OLs.

Marcus Freeman’s idea on recruiting for Notre Dame probably will surprise many people and actually when I heard it it surprised me.
He thinks that it’s not just getting the top players that fit the ND mold so to speak in the pool is limited to are academically qualified, maybe family history if ND love, Catholic High players etc. He thinks that he can sell Notre Dame to kids who have no idea what Notre Dame is about. He feels ND can be getting the 5 and 4 star players that are now going to The Alabamas, Georgia, Clemson etc. He thinks he can sell ND to those players also. He’s already proving it by players he has recruited this far.
We just have not had a coach with that philosophy before. He fell in Love with ND when he first walked onto the campus to speak to Brian Kelly. He feels if he can get the kids to come see ND he can the school will make the same impression on them if at the same time you can impart the value of Notre Dane to them at the same time.
I’ve listened to him on some interviews with Chris Zorich and others and it’s just amazing when you hear him speak about Notre Dame.

Don, with all due respect Ohio State hired a HC with no experience and that seems to have worked out okay.

Irish Hockey gets a nice bounce back win over Ohio State 5-1 at Compton.

    Split the series this weekend.
