Another Wow game...Syracuse beat Gonzaga. They turned up the heat on defense and just out worked them on the boards. Another ACC team to the elite 8.

Baring a complete collapse by UNC the ACC is guaranteed to be 1/2 of the Final 4 ND/UNC and Syr/UVA winners go to the final 4. Pretty good year for the ACC.

Sid maintains his lead. Bobda and I have a shot at picking the final four correctly, our only difference is he has KU and I have Villanova. I don't know what Don has though.

    Terry,

I have Oregon, Kansas and North Carolina in the final four. My fourth pick was MSU. That bracket was a bust for me early on. Looking forward to the games this evening.

Oklahoma pretty much ran Oregon out of the building in the first half, capped by a deep, deep, deep 3 point shot by Buddy Hield. Oregon is going to have to really turn it around if they are to get a win tonight. Doubt if they can do it the way OU is playing.

The Sooners had the Ducks on their heels from the get-go. Amazing how Oklahoma could hardly miss a shot in the first half. The gap was just too much for Oregon to recover in the second half.

Sid maintains his lead, but he only has North Carolina today to score points after that he's done! :)

Tom in 2nd place also only has North Carolina left today, then he's done.

Fitz has UNC and then Nova all the way to the Champ game. He has MSU though.

Stu like Sid, Fitz and Tom has only UNC today

Bobda..that wiley wolverine has UNC, UVA and Nova to the Final Four, with Nova and UNC meeting in the Champ game and UNC winning. I don't see how he can be stopped!

Yes, Bobda's the man. As they say the cream - or in this case, the cheese curd - will rise to the top. :D

Actually, if ND and SYR win today, and OK beats Nova in the final 4, I believe I'd still have a chance.....but I don't want all of that to happen. At least not SYR winning and Nova losing. I'm just happy with the total number of my correct picks, which for me is a record.

    Sid,

Always nice to make a good number of picks. It seems almost like trowing darts at times.

I am dead in the water and sinking. If the Irish beat NC this evening, I will have drowned. Standing at 63 points at the moment.

The Irish have gone far and have been tenacious when the pressure is on but the Tarheels are going to win this one and it's nothing against the Irish, just a more equipped team....

No offense taken, Ralph. In the ACC tourney a couple of weeks ago, UNC handed ND the worst loss of the 15-year Brey era.

We haven't discussed the womens tournament, I think everyone conceded it to UCONN from the start, but Washington has a center who never jumps, has the body of nose guard, but the touch of an angel. They are a real Cinderella. Stanford who couldn't miss vs the Irish, lost their touch. Texas gets UCONN Monday night, I don't think we have a prayer, only team left with a chance is Baylor.

With the ND women gone, I'm just ho-hum about the rest of the tournament.

    Lol...

UVA came apart like a cheap suit when Syracuse put the full court press on them, and then went on a big run to finish them off. UNC the only #1 seed left. GO IRISH!
