Anybody else glad they're not in doc's chair first thing in the morning?...get some sleep lieutenant!
In a side note, if I wouldnt have taken a nap after work, Davis and herbiestreet woulda rocked me to sleep while bama still had the lead. Please GOD...make another Keith Jackson...
First off, Alabama just got beat by a better, more rounded team. Alabama's offense, once again, was one dimensional. We essentially have no consistent passing threat. Watson and his outstanding receivers scored twice with drives of less than 2 minutes each in the last 5 minutes. I didn't think anyone could do that to this defense but our lack of offense just allowed the Clemson offense to have the ball too much. They must have run 90 offensive plays last night. Good game by Watson and company. "Wait til next year"
Tough one to lose Kp, but I agree the Tigers had a better balance and Watson proved to be the difference with his receivers.
I had the same thought. They ran that play at least twice last night. I'm not sure about the whole crew in that ND-FSU game but there was at least one official looking to make a call.
That was a tough loss kp, I thought you guys had it when you scored that last TD and then I thought Dabo was playing for OT by his not using the timeouts. But I guess he had a plan. Clemson ran 99 plays to Alabama's 65 plays. Not surprising that the defense was worn out by the 4th qtr. The bama defense did put some big hits on Watson all game but he kept bouncing up. Just a great performance by Watson, reminds me of the performance that Vince Young put up against a USC team that like Alabama was thought to be unbeatable. Vince should have won the Heisman just like Watson should have won the Heisman this year. Not to get ahead of ourselves but the top 2 teams in the way too early polls for 3017 are FSU and Alabama who just happen to meet in the 1st game of the season next year.
This season, Clemson has beaten the past 7 national champions, per this article: http://www.sbnation.com/college-foo.../clemson-schedule-national-champions-previous
#7 Williams for Clemson and #9 Scarbrough for Bama are both amazing players to watch. Big loss for Bama when #9 went out.
Well Scarborough did play 3/4 the game, but injuries are part of the game. Just like we'll never know how that 2002 game between Ohio State and Miami would have turned out if Willis MacGahee hadn't got his knee torn up early in the game. Anybody know what Dabo was talking about with this post game comment? Dabo: "This isn't just for us. This is for the Ohio States ... this is for everybody who does things the right way."
Ralph I swear I had nothing to do with that article.... 8) Anyway.... it took a team as good as Clemson to beat this Alabama team. Hats off to the Tigers for a great season!
Only the past 7 national champions? Of course, they won't talk about how they did against the 1976 national champions...
I remember well the first game of the 1976 season. Tony Dorsett ran all over us in our stadium on his way to the Heisman Trophy and Pitt's NC. I couldn't recall how many yards he had, so I looked it up.....303 yards rushing!
