On the other hand, with that line and that running back Alabama probably does not need to pass all that much...
Speaking of Ohio, can Stu explain how the Cleveland Browns had Saban and Belichick coaching at the same time but were a mediocre team?
Big article in today's Houston Chronicle about Saban and his time with the Jerry Glanville Oilers. Interesting read. http://www.houstonchronicle.com/sports/texans/article/Decades-before-Alabama-Nick-Saban-showed-10839890.php
That TD play would have been called a pick play by the ACC crew who worked the FSu/ND game 2 yeas ago.
Clemson knocking on the door. They really need to change the replay rules on CF. Adopt the NFL rules.
Clemson takes the lead. Another grreat drive by Clemson. Is it possible that the Tide defense is worn out? But a lot of time left.
Wow, I thought clemson had Hurts on that 3rd down play then when he lofted one late over the middle I'm thinking Clemson is going to pick that off..but instead it's caught and Saban does what he has to do and goes for it on 4th down and then comes back with the trick play...wowza. The coup de grace is the great run by Hurts.
Double wow...I guess they weren't playing for OT. Another great game between these two teams. Watson wins this for the Tigers.
It really came down to the fact that Clemson also had a great defense and Clemson had the better QB. Hurts really, other than that TD run, was not very effective and with Bo Scarbourgh on the bench the Alabama D wore out.
