The sad part is the refs of this game will overshadow a great game played by the players of both teams. For a minor bowl game, both teams played their hearts out on miserable field conditions.
Welp. Pitt now playing with their 3rd string QB. Don’t think he will conjure up memories of Cardale Jones.
I keep tuning in to watch these bowl games but it seems that the majority of them have players out for injury, NFL announcement, portal etc, etc etc. It's like a different team has showed up for the game. By the way, for the next pickem contest I'll make it easy for you guys. Just wait till I make my choices then pick the opposite. You'll win 99% of the time.
Maybe need to revise my opinion of Pitt’s QB. 14-10 Panthers at the half. Pitt’s defense is showing up tonight.
The end of the Tenn.-Purdue game reminded me of the ND-Stan. game that we won on a similar play. The forward progress ruling sometimes is tough on a team. Drove my grandson Patrick to Orlando airport this morning. He's headed to Dallas compliments of Pops. He's optimistic about his Bearcats team in tomorrow's game. Ah to be young!
Michigan State always has been an enigma for me. They look great. I profess my confidence in them. They do a 180. Fingers crossed.
Stranger things have.happened. Cincinnati may be the best team in the country but because of their schedule we just don't know. If the Alabama team that played Georgia shows up, we win. If the Alabama team that played Auburn shows up, who knows.
I don’t know if anyone else saw it, but I noticed a few gestures of sportsmanship by Purdue players, helping TN ball carriers to their feet. I know it’s not considered “cool”, but I’m a believer in on-field gestures like that.
I think the answer is Kenneth Walker who ran for 1600 yards this year but opted out of the Peach Bowl. I think 1599 of those yards were gained after contact.
Son of a gun. Michigan State wins. I now am a fan of Connor Hayward, who I learned tonight is the son of Craig “Ironhead” Hayward. Dad would be proud.
