Central is now in the Sun Bowl. The Arizona bowl paid teams $350,000 while the Sun Bowl pays out 4.5 mil. They've gone from Cow Chips to Casino Chips.
Central Michigan it is. The weather is going to be lousy here that day. I won’t be going. 80%chance of rain and 51 degrees. Welcome to the Sun Bowl. Last time I went was the ND vs Miami game. It snowed the evening before and that day. I still enjoyed watching the Irish beat the”u” that day
It’s hard to find out much info on the Ok St team but it looks like their starting center is out with injury for the bowl game.
Houston Cougars get the big win over SEC Power, Auburn in the Birmingham Bowl. Wasn't much of an offensive shootout. Cougars defense was the key. OK maybe Auburn isn't an SEC Power this year and they have lost a bunch of games in a row now. But for the Cougars beating any SEC team is a big deal for them. Plus they finish the season with a 12-2 record, another big deal for them. They lost only to Texas Tech in their season opener and to Cincinnati in the AAC Championship game. They were a better team at the end of the season
UCLA pulled out of the Holiday Bowl just hours before the 8 pm kick off tonight. Bet NC STATE is a little ticked off as are the fans who traveled to the bowl.
Nice win for USAFA today over Louisville. Both service academy's got wins over Power 5 opponents, Army beat Missouri.
Well Texas Tech just buzzed through the MSU defense on the opening drive, I wonder if we'll see a scoring fest?
NCSTATE head coach, Dave Doreen,, on the situation. We felt like UCLA probably knew something was going on, didn't tell anybody on our side. We had no clue they were up against that. I don't feel like it was very well handled from their university. It would have been great to have had a heads up so two or three days ago we could have found a Plan B. Disappointing."
