The Bowl dance...

Only getting worse. I think UCF shoulda been called for grounding. Then UF shoulda been called for pass interference.

Nice win for UCF. I am sure Northwestern fans are trying to figure out why Bowser transferred to UCF when NU did not have a B10 caliber running back this year.

On another matter, never thought the Rose Bowl would be looked upon as a second tier bowl game for B10 teams but this story seems to confirm that fact: Ohio State football sold two-thirds of Rose Bowl ticket allotment

 

Covid, Covid-Omicron, probably factored a lot into fans not breaking down the ticket booth for the Rose Bowl. Utah though never having been, is fired up and they can drive if they want. I have seen a number of posts on NDNation of people deciding to cancel their plans to go to the Fiesta Bowl over Covid fear.

 

Hawaii Bowl...Done Hawaii says they don't have enough players. Memphis is already on site for tonights game of course, so I guess it's a nice vacation for them!

 

Terrible place to be stuck after your game is cancelled. I feel for the Memphis folks.

 

I agree they sucked. The UCF player spit on our guy who got ejected. And it was only a push not a punch.

But thankfully the Gators season is now over and we can move forward with our new coach.

 

Utah will probably have more fans in attendnce than OHio State, which is most unusual for the Buckeyes.

 

I wonder if OSU will have more fans than ND at the Fiesta. Covid will be a big influence on folks decisions.

 

Two more bowl games are canceled—the Military Bowl and the Fenway Bowl. Omicron seems to be less severe but more contagious than the earlier Covid viruses and also seem better adapted to evade the protections offered by vaccines so there will likely be more games that will fall by the wayside.

Maybe Memphis can stop over on their return trip from Hawaii!

I thought I was going to be able to remove the asterisk from my signature if we win the NC this year but maybe not.

 

I keep saying this but after this season and the last few weeks nothing should surprise me anymore! How can we even be sure there will be any more bowls games at all this year? Tomorrow they could all be cancelled. Sounds crazy except it's not!!!

 

Well we join the fold of having a player (Garrett Wilson WR) will not play in the Rose Bowl and plans to enter the draft. Disappointing but I can not argue with his decision.

 

Boise State is out of the Arizona Bowl.

Central Michigan is trying to get permission to play in the Sun Bowl with Washington State.
