David Bell and George Karlaftis have opted out of the bowl game. I totally understand and would even counsel them to do so (like they'd ask me) and am grateful to them for their contributions to Purdue Football...and we of course are not the only team deals with losing their NFL bound stars. But does it detract from the non playoff bowls?......yes, of course.
It does Stu, but on the other hand I'm kinda looking forward to seeing a lot of my new guys play in a real game that doesn't hurt much if we come up short.
Kenneth Walker is opting out of Michigan States bowl game. Really hurts their offense. Kenny Pickett is also opting out of Pitts bowl game, he was their offense.
I used The Athletic's game analyses for the first several bowl games as my guide. All signs pointed to a Toledo win. I think most of us have found over the years that bowl games are pretty much unpredictable.
Well, Disney and Youtube TV’s contract ended last night without a resolution so today no ESPN bowl games for me.
Anyone else stream tv with You Tube TV? Just got an email from them telling me that they couldn't negotiate a deal with Disney and so they're no longer carrying any Disney channels. That includes ESPN channels and ABC. Gee, no problem, there aren't any bowl games or anything this time of year. Ah but the bright spot, I get $15 off my monthly bill.
It is a pain. I really like UTTV as it is easy to use with unlimited recording time but if they do not reach a resolution soon, will switch to another streaming company although I will probably avoid Disney owned Hulu.
Disney and YTTV reached an agreement. Hope someone can dig into the negotiations to find out what were the issues that caused the stalemate and who blinked.
I assume it was YouTube since they are not raising their prices. They are giving a one time credit of $14.95 for the temporary inconvenience for the current month billing.
