    Hey Arky may be real trouble for a down Tenn squad.

    Even if UT wins doesn't Arkansas have to lose twice for Auburn to get in?

    That may not happen to be sure.

    they have

    <t>Tennessee and LSU. Both opponents have the ability to beat you. I think UT is more likely solely because of the matchup.<br/>
    <br/>
    The Hogs pride themselves on being physical and daring you to stop what they do. UT likes to stop just that type of attack. We'll find out just how physical the Hogs are.<br/>
    <br/>
    LSU seems to like to put the ball in the hands of their opponents quite a bit. You do that to the Hogs and you won't get it back.</t>

    An opinion of Texas from a Florida message board:

    "They got Ohio State at home, at night, on National TV, and still got dominated 24-7.
    A few weeks later, if Nebraska's TE doesn't fumble the ball after making a game sealing first down catch with less than 2 minutes to go (and Texas out of time outs), they get handled another L. Add in their close encounter with Texas Tech and you've got a team that is way overrated."

    You wouldn't be shocked if you knew that when you read the Texas boards they feel like Fla is way overrated would you? :)

    To me Texas has already had Ohio State in the most ideal situation they could get them..at home in front of a rabid Horns crowd.

    What have the Longhorns done since to deserve a second chance over a team like a one loss SEC Champion that hasn't played the Bucs yet or an unbeaten L'ville too?

    Well to be fair, we were starting a rs freshman QB who is much, much, much better now than he was then. The OCoord was extremely conservative in his play calling wouldn't let him throw downfield and that really allowed OSU defense to be more agressive. And we were missing our #1 cornerback due to a little incident with some weed and a loaded 9mm. :(

    And the game might have been different except that our Wr fumbled on the goal line right before the half and it was a big turn around.

    But I'm not making excuses. :) As for the games vs Neb and Tech, well they were great examples of how good we've become. We were right there with them and took advantage of the mistake and closed them out. Lincoln is a very tough place to play, the weather was terrible and the crowd is very loud. At Texas Tech, they came out jacked to the gills and got up 21-0 and then from there on out we took care of them, game was in total control by the end. It wasn't really as close as the score made it seem.

    Longhorns offense with Colt McCoy is a better offense than the Gators right now, Colt is a good runner every bit as good as Tebow and has developed into a heady accurate passer. Not to mention we actually have a running game from the RB position, don't have to rely on end arounds. Your offense is pretty average, and I don't think our defense would have much trouble with it. I'd relish a shot at the Gators.

    Geez...where do I begin with Fla-Auburn....the Tigers scored not one offensive TD...

    One Gator fan says we lost to Alford University..... :shock: :lol: :lol:

    I wasn't making excuses, just sayin' that Ohio State had a solid win, but not a beat down like they put on the Irish in the Fiesta Bowl. Which is how it's being characterized now.

    It seems to me that the Irish were in the Fiesta midway through the 4th period and lost by 14. Texas loses at home by 17 and it's not as bad? Go figure.

    It's that 617 total yards of offense that even Willinghams teams never gave up....that's what makes it different. Nobody wants to talk about how we did have a chance in the 4th qtr.

    Texas gave up 574 tds to SC as there were being beaten down in the BCS championship game last year. Ya never hear about it.

    The point is that Gipper loves the one liners pointed at someone else but thinks they are never appropriate when aimed at him.

    Terry, I am just now reading the projection and Florida is 4th. Was his projection about Texas for the end of the season or for this week.

    Personally I think, but hope not, that Louisville wins out and is in the Championship game.

    Even though I think they are a very good team but don't play the type schedule where they have to be at the top of their game as often as teams in better conferences.

    Gip I don't disagree with you, and if we'd have won nobody would be talking about the 617yd either. But they scored on so many big plays that the impression that most non-ND fans came away with was it was a terrible beating that proved that we were overrated.

    If Zibby's punt return for a TD holds up maybe things are different. But it didn't and the average person see's that game as a beat down.

    The strange part of the game was that the big plays were always preventable. Each one came after a 3rd and long and every time Smith was able to make a play and get the first down. With almost that whole defense coming back how did they have us rated so high to start the season.
    Ah, Bill, did you say someting?
