Hey Scott. No need to apologize. You clearly reported it as rumor. I was the one who took it out of context. When I saw on Bleacher Report that they were close to a contract, I hung my head and said to myself, here we go again. I was relieved to see it debunked later in the day.

If I could read, I never would have posted my reply.

Another reason for Tom to hate Lane Kiffin, as if he needed any more. How immature of a coach to troll another school and their fans like this, disgraceful. If I were the FAU president or Ath. Director we'd have an on the carpet talk and an apology.

to be fair, he teases Nick Saban as well. It's not like this is anything new.

Not sure why Kiffin is trolling Saban and Tenn. The way he exited from Tenn was classless and Saban threw him a career lifeline after his job performance and firing at USC left his professional reputation at dog **** status.

He's just channeling his inner Donald Trump. Certainly, you don't have a problem with that. :D

(Note: not intended to start a political conversation. Just having fun)

Kiffin's trolls of Saban are pretty tame stuff. Kiffin trolling Tennessee after the way they parted is a whole new ballgame.

    It's all in good fun.

His stuff with Saban is mostly teasing about things like Saban doesn't use cell phones, or Saban doesn't understand the fashion trend of wearing jeans with holes in them.

Not everything has to be so serious.

If a coach is good, and Kiffin is, I don't ever rule those guys out. Remember, Mike Leach was suppose to be dead in the water a few years back and I am literally sitting here listen to Steve Spurrier say that Leach should be the pick at Tennessee.

There is a former Alabama coach that moved to A&M that I would not appreciate any communication whatsoever. I assume Kiffin and Tennessee may be in the same boat 8)

hahaha you're probably right. I still find it funny that some UT fans have gotten so desperate that they'd consider Kiffin again. :D

There isn't anything funny about this Corey. Did I laugh with your Willingham days or make jokes about Weiss when you guys were suffering through those dark days? I realize that I am the only Tennessee fan left here... Cindy long ago left in disgust over MCG. But as long as there is one, then show some respect. When there is zero, then you can have all the fun you want.

Scott, we didn’t know it until he snuck out of town, I thank A&M for that

Tom, I agree. Kiffin acted similarly to the coach that left Alabama for A&M

Respectful or obedient? There's a big difference.

Kiffin is an asshole and sometimes, he's a funny asshole. To be honest, his teasing (which has been going on for some time) of Saban is much funnier.

Personally, I think UT shat the bed over unfounded social media backlash and again, I would like to point out that no one hates Rape State more than I.

Did you laugh during the Willingham years? I don't even remember, I did. It got to the point where it was so laughable there was no other sane alternative. When the guy signs 1 OL to a recruiting class and the national media is calling you fools for letting him go, all you can do is laugh at the absurdity.

ND fans have sat there laughing at Ty Willy went on to destroy Washington football and then I think he even got put on the playoff committee (or some important committee).. The guy is an absolute POS, race baiting BAD football coach.

Kiffin may be a POS. He may have a poor taste in humor, but the dude can coach football.

    KP,

I remember that midnight flight all too well. It still seems surreal.. Like the kind of thing people can look back and laugh at now.

    1. Without the midnight flight and subsequent struggles, there is no Nick Saban at Alabama.

    2. Kiffin is far from the only POS to be coaching DI football. I mean, let's not forget that we have somehow collectively turned the other cheek and forgave Penn State for institutional protection of a child molester who ran roughshod over children for decades.

There are many levels to POS.

Yeah, that's kind of like saying my right leg wouldn't be so strong if they hadn't cut off my left leg. And by that reasoning I guess we should thank Mike Price and Sammy's too, huh?

Well Phil Fulmer is now the Tenn Athletic Director.

So we'll see who he interviews. I wonder if Tee Martin is now at the top of his list?

Tom got his wish as to getting a new AD.

What do you think of Fulmer in that job Tom.
