    Dave,

Mind your own bobber. You should be a lot more worried about Alabama than you are whatever Lane is saying today. I told you at this time last year that you better watch out for the Tide because they'd be back and better than last year.

I am not sure they will be better next year, but you better watch out for them.. They will be more athletic almost everywhere. The only spot that appears to be impossible to fill is Rolando (the best LB in college football by far)... but they do get Hightower back..they were without him this year after a mid/early season knee injury.

But enough of that.. Im looking forward to some head knocking in the UT-VT game.

Florida has a ton of highly recruited athletes....and is adding more to Meyer's stable.

I think UF will be fine in spite of the attrition.

    That's college football.

Meyer has won national titles with Zooks players and with his players.

Now it's time for his players round 2. 8)

On Corey's "mind you own bobber comment"......that's next to impossible when the guy next to you ( LK...not TT ) keeps getting crossed with your line because he is trying to rudely move in on your spot....

See Dave, that's just it. When Spurrier was doing it, Florida was already in "your spot". Now that an outsider is doing it, you get mad and want to take your ball and go home.

It's a new day and there is a new deputy in town. The High Sheriff is afraid the Deputy is after his job!

... and the Tennessee fans adopt a new song:

"I shot the Sheriff... but I did not shoot the deputy" 8)

I'll compare Kiffin's approach to Spurrier's when Lane stops saying things that aren't true and when he starts winning.

The biggest thing is the winning though.

Spurrier got fiesty when he began to win and win big.....and he pretty much did that right away.

I think if Kiffin does that then most Fla fans will at least relate to where he is coming from.

I am going to watch the bowl games from my living room on HD TV. Except the ones when I am visiting family. Which will happen a lot over the next three weeks.

Dave, you tell me the difference between this:

    Spurrier: You can't spell Citrus without a U and a T.

Kiffin: Florida has better players but Alabama has better coaching.

You can't even call Spurrier's comments a "back handed compliment".

...and if it is your opinion that it is ok to belittle your opponent AFTER you are winning, what does that make you? You lost your job... so would it have been ok for the employed to belittle you? That comparison is the best comparison of all. Spurrier sitting in his ivory tower laughing at the common folk.

Hey...don't misunderstand......Gator fans wouldn't like Kiffin's digs even he was winning but at least it wouldn't be as annoying.

Instead of a superior...."I am better than you attitude" that makes us feel inadequate it is more of a gnat that just won't go away. 8)

You just give it time. When Kiffin is beating the gators on a regular basis, I will still show restraint in my comments about the gators. I will show you how a real fan is expected to act.

Of course that demonstration....which I contend is not necessary....is one that I am hoping will not come to fruition. 8)
